What's sad is that 90% of the ppl who defend S-E and say they will pay are max lvl 20-30. They haven't even experienced the majority of the "new content" that they preach time and again. It's the same people who have their wives and parents playing too, causing any potential raid to take 90 times longer than it should due to carrying bads.

Anyway...i agree with Picard and Moose posts. IMO it'sa gamble that really might cause the game a second death regardless of how good it is at PS3 release...because those leaving now might just not come back...the market is packed with games superior in quality to FFXIV...and no one will just play another game "while waiting 2.0".

I'm really hoping this 1.19 is haunting Yoshida and giving him nightmares in his 3hrs of sleep...because it was an overall disaster followed by the tremendous unfortunate announcement of they start billing soon. This annoucement mainly cut the quitting plans of many players that aren't enjoying the game ATM from "PS3 release" to 1 month.

IMO it might be the first time this dev team is REALLY put against the wall...the next patch (which might be the last one before they start billing) will really have an all-or-nothing impact...they MUST do it right this time...do it FAST and do it RIGHT.

I did my part. Since 1.18 i've been tossing them day after day feedback, suggestions and warnings regarding nearly every aspect of the game...but now it's like those last 5 minutes of soccer, when you already changed players, changed strategies, changed everything...there is nothing left to do other than sit, wait and pray for the best to happen since it's now up to those playing to win or lose.



So...at least we will have halloween before billing start! ^^::

Agreed.. what alot of people around here dont realize is that there are several hyped titles coming down the river... and oddly around the time they are planning to charge for this game. Look folks, I for one really want to see this game succeed. But making people pay for a "head honcho-stated half done" game when two hype titles are about to come out is a BAD idea. TOR... and GW2. So... ya... i really want to see this game do good... but i dont want to be playing in a dessert with no people in it.

I mean don't get me wrong. I fully realize that they are the "only" mmo devs "i've" ever seen try this hard to pull a "flopped" game out of the fire.. but in the end that wont count for anything if no ones playing it.

Its funny when people do nothing but point at something they find offensive instead of contributing to the discussion by trying to see it through my eyes. Would you like to add something or shall we keep jabbing each other for hours on end? Maybe that will help this game out right?

its kind of off subject but i find it to be more common for family players to suck and cause everyone else frustration all because they think playing together is cute.... thats all fine and dandy but stay away from endgame pls.

PS: i just had a thought. this game started development in 2005? and its not expected to be relatively finished until 2013.
regardless of how you look at it, it technically is taking them about 9 years to release a full product. they probably just should have spent all this time and money remaking VII to shut everyone up (including me XD) and re-top the video game industry
