My main DPS job is Bard, and yes, if healers are running low on MP, Mage's Ballad takes total precedence over my rotation or DPS numbers. You jump to conclusions too fast.

    So, quoting myself:

If you want to see me DPS, use your cooldowns, dodge telegraphs and follow mechanics, pop Foe's Requiem or Mantra, use your self-healing skills if you get a little damage, dropping Cleric to heal a 2K damage hit easily replenishable with a Second Wind is really unnecessary. Healer DPS depends entirely on how the party is going, because personally, I'm not taking unnecessary risks, especially on DF.

This is your Job anyway. A good BRD have to. If a BRD say "you east MP too fast I cant sing everytime" or "I dont care about Foe for Casters"... well change job XD.

Unless they change the game completely then if they disable cleric stance it will make healers a snooze fest.

You dont need to be healing all the time as it is, if I can't dps as a healer what am I meant to do during that time? watch Netflix or something?

That works swell in an RP environment, but not for how the class and entire game was designed to be used.

Didnt read everything, but really.... I lvled all 3 healers to lvl 60 (BLM main) and while lvling, in every single dungeon, I was ALWAYS in cleric stance for 90% of the time the entire dungeon. This tells me that healers who do NOT stance dance must be either overhealing with every single spell, OR alttabbing every few seconds, OR simply watching a movie on a second screen..

Use some CD's mate, synergize your CD's with your healing over times spells/shields and you literally CREATE dps windows yourself. Even with tanks that were lazy themselves and didnt use a single CD, I still managed to create these dps windows... Srly, I can't even IMAGINE doing a dungeon as a healer without dpsing as much as possible... Tanks barely need any healing beside some hots or some shields here and there, I would literally fall asleep as a healer if there was no cleric stance.

Not saying I'm awesome or anything, no no no, what I'm saying is, if I can do it on my alts, then so can you on your main. Stop being lazy (yes, you are, stop saying otherwise) and start learning how to play your job with its full potential. It's not by accident that 30% of your skills are offensive..

Oh, I happily stance dance on MCH to minimize the potency loss of gauss barrel between the CDs. But if I play healer...I kinda just want to heal. I have several DPS jobs to maximize DPS on, so the only reason for me to even switch to something else is because I "don't" want to care about DPS right now.

Which is why I simply don't play healer anymore, except in PvP. If every class has to care about damage anyway, might as well play a real damagedealer.

I'm not going to lie I notice a healer running low on mana fairly quickly so after the first MB I was like healer your mp management is more so your job then mines and we have three casters shouldn't I be focused on foes lol and let's not forget the fact they were a SCH, I hadn't seen SCHs run out of MP before unless they were just raised...

honestly healers are so overpowered in this game when it comes to healing. if you cant dps you are either lazy or bad at your job (this is given that the rest of your party is at least of an average skill level)

This. Using the RP excuse for it is no better than an Ice Mage, or a bard not singing becasue his harp strings broke, or the SCH that is currently not using a fairy because Eos found out abiut Selene, and now they are on a break.

RP is for RP parties, if you do it in DF, you are hindering the group, and can't reasonably be too upset if you are called out on it.

Here we go again... Healer should dps! Healer shouldn't have to dps! We get it some healers like to dps some don't, it's not being "lazy" if they don't dps if they choose to play that playstyle then that's their choice. Granted in this case I assume it was in the duty finder people can be dicks in there LazyMemories (lol how ironic is the name in this situation :P) don't let it get to you. People in the duty finder have this mindset and in my opinion its unhealthy for the community to expect people to play how they or "the meta" want to play its unfair to those who choose healer to be a healer and not a 3rd dps. I for one when I choose to heal in the duty finder I heal (call me lazy or whatever you want) I don't dps and on the off chance I do do a little dps great, bonus to the run but if I wanted to dps in on a dps or if I wanted to tank I'd go in on a tank class. On the other hand if it was something like a raid then yeah I'd totally dps, because its much harder content that needs that extra help.
