    Profitable craft

    Hello

I returned to FF14 after a long time, and I have absolutely no idea about everything that changed in the area of DoH and DoL.

I wonder, which is a craft that has products that are in need and that sell for a profit?

I don't expect to make millions overnight, but I also don't want to end up leveling the craft that nobody needs anymore

your not gonna level them all to 60 ? well anyways i assume you need to level then, so go do leves ! it's nice exp and if you make extra you can sell some ! that you'll already start funding yourself for the materia you'll probaly want to buy at 60

other then that there is always glamour stuff for the weaver/ltw/arm for the battle classes ! (you'll need to be specialist for sky pirate stuff though) other stuff is server specific but if your going alch. astral oil sells pretty nice for 50k each (NQ) to 100k (HQ) per bottle.. though that's a 1 star craft and you need some hard to get stuff from gatherers

When your gonna level DOL, you can sell stuff like aurum aegis sand.. it's a base ingridient for stuff that's needed later on for 2 star crafts

There's usually some profit to be made in crafting just about anything, simply due to market forces (if it's not profitable to craft and sell, people won't craft and sell it, so the price goes up and demand for mats goes down until it is profitable again), though some of the older items are getting an influx from quick ventures so it's always worth checking.

If you want to level just a few of the classes to endgame, alchemist and culinarian are typically safe bets since people will always need potions and food. I'd recommend taking everything to 60 as a futureproofing measure though. They've been doing a decent job at shaking up which classes have access to things and reducing the number of "useless" jobs (example, carpenter makes most of the crafting accessories now) and we won't know where the next random high demand recipe will come from.

I craft mostly crafting supplies like darksteel nuggets, twinthread, and hippo leather and toss in Bouillabaisse.. all hq, and I typically sell them (except the bouillabaisse) in stacks of 50-99. MOST end game lvl 60 crafters don't want to mess around with gathering and refining, I'm lvl60 in all gathering and crafting, so it's all easy for me to get my supplies and craft usable products. When I was lvl40 and up, I crafted rings and bracelets than weren't necessarily class specific. Also, toss in a melded item once in a while for some extra quick cash. For example, about 2 weeks ago on Brynhilder, HQ Aetherite rings were selling for 30-50k a piece (2 months ago they were 5000g). I whipped out a couple and attached Command Materia III (which I had about 25 of) and they sold for 50k each in about 5 minutes. If you sell in quantity, either stacks of 99 of short stacks of 5, price accordingly.

(part 2) HQ darksteel nuggets go for up to 8000g each on my server, I usually sell 50+ for 5000. I'm not competing with the smaller sellers so I don't mind low balling them. But I also don't go price chasing and I NEVER do that 4999, i gil under bullshlt. And remember, ANYTHING you mine or farm, someone will buy... and don't overlook shards, crystals, grade 3 and 4 carbonized materia as well as things like alum. I literally make millions of gil and could probably make more if I crafted my own high end stuff... but to be honest, I'm not that good! But if a medium size house ever comes on the market for under 25m, I have the gil to buy it. Otherwise, having that much gil is just ego. After all, it's not going to pay for my son's medical school!

Specialists are an easy way to make money at end game, simply because not everyone can be every specialist. I would suggest WVR and LTW and either ARM or BSM as your third. If you go ARM you will be able to craft allot more Sky Pirate Items, but will need to buy the BSM Specialist mats from the MB. These items sell regardless of low or High Quality. Your real challenge will be getting your stats up to their requirements. Until then Crafting levequest Materials like Titanium Nuggets can help you. I would also suggest Leveling CUL simply because crafting with cheap food like Baked Onion Soup is like crafting with a third accessory! Have fun!
