So you beat all floor of Savage Alexander?
So you beat all floor of Savage Alexander?

Wait wait wait, let me get this straight...
We are being asked to suffer consequences for outdated content that people completed at that time? Who gives a damn, really? If you care that much about your achievements and "hard work" then go do the current "really difficult" content. Once you beat that, be satisfied with your progress, but don't come down hard on the rest of us, who couldn't complete said content at the time, for reasons varying massive lengths, because you want to preserve some semblance of a non-relevant achievement.
EDIT: Apparently, I dig commas.
Cleared all that stuff while it was still relevant. Doesn't feel bad seeing people clearing it now. Especially when I'm getting those sweet sweet bonus Poetics while helping them.
And let's be real, there are still mechanics that have to be done properly.
-Twisters still OHKO
-Voices/Shriek stacks on Medusa is still obscene damage
-Allagan Field is a near OHKO
-Meteor/Golem screw ups still OHKO
-Divebombs still OHKO
-Elemental Dance is still somewhat important
-Secondary Head still OHKO
-Tethers are a still thing
-Fire Pillar is still a thing
-Megaflare still exists
-Divebombs again
-Megaflare Tornados
-Akh Morn

OP, looking at your gear, you haven't even entered Savage Alexander.
Don't complain you have no challenging content before actually doing said content that is available.

This is hilarious!
I wanna know where this 'large' group is on Balmung, as the majority of players I know/see are ok with the unsyncing. There is content for the hardcore players, and more content will be added for them, although not as much as many would like there to be. They can't keep content that was for the hardcore for the same crowd forever, at least not in the style of MMO they chose for the game. In XI's horizontal gearing progression, it was fine, but as soon as they raised the level past 75, guess what? Yes, all the gear people worked so many years on getting, easily obtained within days by players who never could of got them originally.
Once levels are raised and new gear are released, it's understandable that the hardcore should move on to obtain the new hard stuff to show off while the lessercore players can finally get the outdated goods, which holds nothing but glamour in this game at that point.
The only reason this is an issue, is because of the whole show off thing. People complain about the unsyncing because they fear they can't brag about completing the Coils or getting Kirin like they did back then as people could assume they just did the catch up unsynced method. If you want to be that kind of person, clear the current content.

Every day in Balmung, I've seen unsynced runs for ponies and glamour and not one single party I've been in has complained about it.
Your 'large group' is in the minority.
And besides, what does it matter to you if people cleared content unsynced? It allows players to experience the older content at a much faster pace and in turn unlock the rest of it, i.e. EX primals and Coil.
If things actually went your way, XIV would be almost impossible to play from a casual standpoint and would spell the MMO's death.
If I die, forgive me. I used to be a Dragoon.
^ This, I was able to complete T13 because of unsynced party. I was able to finish off the story. During 2.x it was all about know the fight and experience only farming party. Was there room for casual to join in, to just wanting to complete the story? Not many... I missed that chance, but Thankfully for unsynced I was able to have that experience.Every day in Balmung, I've seen unsynced runs for ponies and glamour and not one single party I've been in has complained about it.

Also...I don't know why people would be running around w/ the "Final Witness" title, personally I'd rather run around w/ title like "The Darkest Shadow" sounds a lot more awesome.
As for me...
While I was slightly late to clearing T5 and T9 (cleared 1-4 in good time, and was really early for 6-8, but both groups broke up on the last turns of the raid. Still got them down before the next Coil came out. Barely), I cleared T10 Day 1, and cleared T13 as 2.5 came out. I don't care that its easy to get all of Coil down now, in fact I like it (and not just for Poetics, mind you); they're great fights even unsynced and you can have a ton of fun with little rules in your group or unusual comps (love trying to 4-man them)
I got my Kirin in 2.5, with most of my ponies in 2.4 (got Markab early 2.3; made so many jealous in hunts riding it around). While I'm not as keen on running the Primals again after bashing my head against them so much, I still will, and they too can be a lot of fun undersizing.
If you want the prestige from these, you do them when they are relevant...but even then, late in that patch cycle, sell groups made the title and items less valuable than they should have been.
My static is about to clear A4S, any-time-we-enter-could-be-a-clear kind of close (holidays royally screwed us over though). 3.2 having that clear will still "matter", but its value will decline over time...and that's fine. The next Alexander will be out, and clearing that will be the new prestige.
In my opinion SE has created this issue with the way they set up ls's and fc's in 14. I.e how we (the community) play well or not so well together. Patience. . .we lack it. Player to player interactions is something SE got correct in FF11. the way the linkshells and large alliance endgame was setup worked. People put in time and energy to get what they wanted. It was not 100% perfect. But it was close enough. In FF14 it's everyone for themselves unless you are lucky enough to find 3 or 7 other people who play at the same time and are willing to sometimes do content they no longer need. I am the type that while not the best player (mainly because rarely get to do content long enough to get comfortable with it) if i know the content i will help and stay until it's done even if it takes a couple of cycles. Even if i need nothing from it and I am just helping. 14 lacks incentive or reason for much of the community to simply help when they get nothing but gratitude for their efforts. SE seems to have forgotten that not everyone learns at the same rate and that not everyone will be a topped out elite class player. So the ones who have a steeper learning curve get left out even with unsynced content because if you DF and PF with low tolerance and no patience you will definitely not become patient and tolerant in an unsynced party. This is the community SE created and now SE is patching a leaky boat.
