Added my own survey to the mix. It was interesting, though perhaps lacking a bit in cohesion? As far as superiority? I'd say about equal. Bahamut tends to get out of bad situations by killing stuff, whereas I talk things out. XP Same end result.

Many of you bring up very good points and I'm very grateful that you have taken your time to write me feedback. I will look further into and reflect over what you have told me as I'm writing my paper.
If I make a new survey for my bachelor's thesis I'll definitely make it more extensive and coherent. The survey's shortness can definitely prove to be a problem when analyzing the results. I would have made it differently if I were to redo it. And like you have warned me I'll also keep selection bias in mind and take more precautions against it for my next project.

I will keep the survey open for about 24 more hours so it will close at around 3 pm (GMT).

Interesting survey. In a few cases, I think you have made one question where you should have made two or more.
For example, the question about loneliness and depression seems to assume they are the same thing. Speaking personally I've experienced both, but not always at the same time.

The question about whether I feel my character is superior to me, could have been broken in to several questions. Appearance, personality, skills for example. I think if you had done it that way, you might have gained more insight.

I would have asked people if they role-play as well, in-game or elsewhere.
Any of my RP characters are deliberately flawed, because I find a flawed character with issues interesting to play, but I don't RP in FF so my main is more neutral. That said, I still don't really view her as a representation of me. Possibly that's the way most people think, or maybe it's because I'm used to inventing characters to RP.

Yes, do share the results. I am curious what the average here is. And I agree with what has been said about more detailed questions; it would be interesting to see this survey branched into furter questions.

The survey is now closed and we reached a total of 373 answers which will now be put together and analyzed. Thank you everyone for your participation and for your insight! Your feedback has been so helpful and I'll go through it a few times over to make sure that my work improves in the future.

As this has been my first attempt at this, I had no idea how many answers I could get. I would have been happy with a hundred for this first try, but we exceeded so far beyond that. And you have given me so much useful advice. I am so grateful.

When I have managed to put together everything in comprehensible diagrams, I'll post it at the bottom of the first post. It will be interesting to see what kind of observations one can make from them.
