Oh no I would never refer to you as a problem. You're free to do what you wish with your money/character. I buy fantasias too at times.I'm the problem. I've bought a Fantasia just to change my skin tone. I ended up making some other changes cause that is a waste of ten dollars. And I was debating with myself last night on buying a Fantasia to change my eye color. So I would love this, if nothing more than to protect me from myself.
I was just more meaning that it wouldn't make sense from a business point to remove features from them.
This makes me wonder who buys Fantasia for what purpose. While there are definitely some players who buy it for a full scale change, I wonder how many people actually do buy it just to change something relatively minor*. And I also wonder if SE tracks that.
* Not that even a small change is insignificant. I can absolutely see wanting your character to be "perfect" given how much time and care we invest in them
I counted all my purchases and I've bought exactly 50 Fantasias.... lol... SE must love me... No matter how big or small the change is...
I've bought a fantasia because my skin colour didn't look the way I wanted it to in some lighting, and then another to change eye colour and it was too brightly coloured. >_> I do wish they'd add them to the Aesthetician, but it does mean less money for SE so who knows? The same goes for more retainers. This makes me wonder who buys Fantasia for what purpose. This! I know the character creator allows for a variety of lighting conditions, but realistically, the in-game lighting seems to function different. Especially when you consider HW areas and indoors versus, say, standing around outdoors in the starting areas.
If anything, they should add another template to the character creator tools to count these in. Like how one would look in Ishgard, or the default lighting in personal houses (which does not match the "indoors" option they have.)
Yep, numerous times I've made an alt character to run around to test different looks, done checks on my skin colour in all of the character creation settings options... only to get in to the world and it look completely different, or different enough to what I'd wanted. This! Is it so much to hit a button and run around a "test" portion in one of the city zones and one wilderness for each, not on server or anything... I wonder.
I really want this as well, but people keep denying like something something lore break and impossible to do for hair stylist. Don't you guys recognized that this hair stylist can change our forehead model? >_>
They're always looking for more gil sinks. Just add these features at a higher gil cost or something.
I would LOVE to have skin and eyes included in the aesthetician, but I don't see it being added. As others mentioned, eye color was supposed to be included with him, but we all know how that went.I think Fantasias are a big money maker for them, so I can't see them suddenly giving more options via in-game methods. Can't kill the cash cow!
The Aesthetician is an homage to JoJo's character, right? He should be able to do more than hair.
