I hope it's not considered a spoiler as I don't know how to hide text, but in regard to your comment, at the end of stage 3, when you complete the quest, one of the NPCs does indeed say something about there still being room for it to be improved further later on, so it does look like this relic will follow a similar path to the previous one, upgrading it each time. I hope they do customizable stats

The relic will be upgraded further in a future patch!? That is a huge spoiler.
