Feedback for Devs: Holiday Events

Normally, I'd agree with you out of the gate, but it's not just Heavensturn that has started this topic. The past few events have been non-events, and quite a few players are wondering what's up. Heavensturn, it's true, has never really been all that much fun, but at least there was more to do last year (albeit, it was mostly "Go talk to that guy and do an emote!" whilst doing the grand Eorzean tour). It did have a decent story, and you got a cool minion. The Starlight Celebration before this last one was not a moot short little nothing, either, it even had daily quests, so...we're not talking about ALL seasonal events, by the way, just these past three, really. We'd love to focus on the positive, but...there's nothing there. Except a broom.

Just played Valentione's Day event...and against all odds, I enjoyed it. It was still short, and the rewards are still just glamour-ific, but all in all - I had fun. I think that's really all we were askin' for, right? I liked the concept, and it was a unique experience.

So, I give it my thumb's up. Could there still be more to seasonal events? Absolutely. But at least this one gave me reason to think the devs are still taking the time to put some thought into them.

I'm not very fond of the furniture. But the hat is pretty cool!

It was a very nice event to do with people you know! We're always alone in cutscenes, and I understand why. But i's great to see our friends interacting in those scenes, so I'd like more of that in the next ones!

Maybe spread the quests out over the 3 weeks like the Lightning Returns event? I dunno, but i do agree.

Im pretty sure its the first time we saw another player in a cutscene during a season event! I hope we get to see more of those! Getting tired of fetch quests just by myself....
