    Too Many Clicks

In this thread, list activities that currently take far too many clicks to accomplish, and simple improvements to reduce them to a saner number.

    Examples:

    Repairs: Add an "All" tab.

    Gardening:
Tending: Allow action to affect the entire field.
Fertilizing: Either reduce it to 1 click (why does it ask to select the item to use when only 1 type exists?), or make fish meal into a use item that can be cast on the crop while targeting it.

Blacklist Cleanup: Either an empty list button or bulk highlighting.

    List more of your own.

Not sure about PS4 users but I think the whole UI was designed for consoles and not PCs.

Also turning in collectables for gathering and crafting scrips is a pain.

    With a keyboard probably but with a controller it's easy as A A X A repeat.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.

Gathering, each attempt is a click or a button press that quickly add up. Sure it can be macroed but that is one thing that comes to mind.

The default on controller going to wait for duty finder rather than ready. Why does it do that when 99% of the time when you see it happen you are going to move it to ready anyway? Same for ready checks.

Desynthesis. Even using the skill to pop up the menu, you need to click the item, lick confirm, wait, click cancel, every single time with no cursor snap, no mashing spacebar to progress, no mass-desynth option...

Spacebar skipping needs to be added to everything. Mash to skip through dialogue, confirmations, closing info windows like the desynth results, etc.

All of those situations would be easily fixed for PC users - without messing console behavior - by assigning keybinds to each valid item/choice.
Valid items would always be filtered displayed in order, the first being selectable by pressing 1, the second by pressing 2, etc.
    Same for dialog options.
Same for "OK" or "Cancel" when interacting with objects.

In this game you can't do ANYTHING ELSE while interacting with objects/NPCs, so why can't we give all those dead combat/UI keybinds a use in those situations?

When entering a housing area, obviously you need to select which one to enter, so having the selection window come up then makes sense, but when you're already in a housing area and head to the exit, either let us pass through to the next area just like any normal region boundary, or at the very least make leaving the housing area the default selection. Why does it default to entering the same area we're already in?

On a similar note, when we have to talk to someone to move from one area to another (gatekeeper, ferry skipper, elevator attendant, etc) once we've gone up to them, spoken with them and selected a destination, it can be assumed that 99% of the time it's because we want to go there. Not only do we get another confirmation window, but it defaults to "No". Remove that confirmation, or at the very least, let it default to "Yes". In general, defaults should be set to the most likely and expected answer.

Those would really help. One other thing would simply be to keep the plot selected while we do something. Currently it automatically de-selects each time. Why need to select it, tend, then select it again to fertilize, or the other way around? (Particularly annoying with the weirdly random order that this game tab targets things, so you can't easily move to the plot you want.)
