I heard from 100% reliable sources that they was going to change stats specific to the tank class. WAR = Strength, DRK = Intelligence, and PLD = Piety

thats is a fake, when new gear comes what happen to tank gear?, whe have our own gear? or we have gear with high numbers of piety, intelligence and str? thats not make sense at all, pld become the most mp pool in the game lol

Speaking of new gear - Those of you who lack fending accessories may wish to obtain them or stock pile the eso for them.... Any change away from strength (new stat or vit or other) may make the present str accessories absolutely useless. Any gear adjustments (to old gear) to compensate for a new tank damage calc are likely to be done only on fending gear.
Figured I'd put this here for reference. Many of those attempting instanced raids in the early stages tend to use advanced materia melding on accessories, which lead to tanks being required to meld STR or VIT. Due to this there were times where the melded accessories were better than the accessories which dropped from clearing the instance. In order to resolve this issue, in Patch 3.2 we will be making adjustments that will change the damage calculations of tanks into a more appropriate state.
As an overall plan moving forward, we will be making adjustments so that a burden is not placed on any particular role in order to challenge a high-difficulty raid.
In any case, the fact that the entire adjustment is being done to address a deficiency in dropped Tank accessories over melded ones is the main reason that people have assumed that the "change" will in the way we relate to our stats. The fact that they also singled out Vit and Str are pretty telling. In the end, they just wanted to make dropped accessories relevant to progression raiders instead of having them shell out billions of gill on melded stuff.
Whatever they do, I don't think it will really matter. The change will mostly likely be very small. People seem to forget that SE has to work within a pre-existing framework. They can't just go making dramatic changes to the way we relate to our stats without also dramatically changing previous gear sets or encounters in the game. They have to stay considerate of new players and old content.
Changes to potency's and coefficients makes the most sense as dps and threat are the largest concerns for tanks currently.
Adding damage to the flash trait for plds would be the most drastic change I could imagine and I find it unlikely. The no damage because they can still block no longer balances in the current meta.
as a healer parry and block are not very useful to my healing a tank as i have to precast my heal regardless if the tank blocks or parrys. So on top of the poor scaling the meta makes block/parry less useful. Even if they worked on magic. If they could just change the parry stat to straight mitigation or to make you uncritable would have far more use than making the stat scale better. Currently the only time/parry and block are useful are to boost tank dps lowblow/swipe or fights with a bunch of adds hitting the tank with no predictable burst to need to precast a heal for.
Though making storms path only usable after being the victim of a crit sounds fun to me

I still think they might just make vit the go to overall stat, it will decide your health pool and your damage done. makes it easy to just tune one stat to where they want tank survival and contribution to be at. But we might just be reading into it too much could just be as simple as they consider the "cap" on main stat melding to be sufficient enough.
