    To add a suggestion to this thread...

    Why not give each player (with a lantern) a random chance to obtain a special "currency" (the currency would be untradeable) from the chest instead of a weapon. The weapons could then be acqured from an NPC by trading in a certain amount of that currency. I think this would work vastlly better than the current loot system.

    I think this is the best solution and a good way to set a standard for all U/U weapons and armour in upcomming content.

    SE please listen to this suggestion.

    It's by far better than the suggested need/greed system Yoshi-p hinted at and requires players to defeat the content multiple times to get the item, providing a time sink and something to work towards.

    Later on dungeons with multiple bosses could each drop tokens, weapons could cost 20 tokens, body and leg armour 15, shield and head 12, hands, feet and belt 10. etc
