Is constantly pushing out new fresh content in the game every few months.

with the 3.1.5 relic being just rehash of the stuff we already did, and even a lot of mechanics in new fights are jsut rehashed mechanics I'm not seeing much "new fresh content" anymore

Has made raiding more accessible. Now I dont have to be hardcore or pay for carries to see the story.

I still see a people paying for content from alex savage to thordan ex. Heck when 3.0 first came out I saw people buying alex normal clears.

SOOO many character customization options! I've bought so much fantasia to make my character look however I want.

Amazing housing. Not only can I customize my character, but I can also customize my house! It's really refreshing to have a place in ffxiv to call my own!

The limits on the items you can have in houses is ridiculous, I swear my friend finally got one and she cant customize it to make it her own because it wont let her. not to mention the limited housing. in its current state I don't see everyone ever having their own private house.

Anyone else with positive opinions on the game is welcome to add their input and praise. This thread is not for naysayers and haters.

and this statement right here, maybe he is completely honest with this thread and this is how he really thinks. And I am so glad you are enjoying this game so much, heck I love ff14 its my favorite MMO ever. It's just far from perfect

Well, I'll throw in that FF14 is the most enjoyable MMO I've ever played which is why I'm still playing it.

Its story and lore is wonderful.

Its world is rich, atmospheric and beautiful.

Its crafting and gathering systems have the type of depth Ive always wanted in an MMO.

Its not perfect but that's alright. No game ever will be.

For those who are unhappy with the game, why not take this thread as an opportunity to actually give some positive feedback. Clearly the game had redeeming enough features for you to actually want to play it in the first place and care enough that you haven't just walked way. Plus there are plenty of places negative feedback is given already.

Maybe it's among the best in the current market, but I have had a lot more fun in other online games than in this one, to be honest.

Nonetheless, I'm really impressed with taking down 1.0 and revamping things. That took a lot of commitment and resources, as well as faith from upper management, which I am sure involved a lot of promises from Yoshi to get done. I'm also quite sure that the dev team works with one hand tied behind their backs, not being given the money, infrastructure and staff they need to truly make this the best on the market. For what they do get done I am impressed and grateful and agree they deserve credit.

Yeah, there is undoubtabley a lull at the moment, mainly caused by the big gap between 3.0 and 3.1, I imagine when we get to 3.2 and 3.3 it'll start feeling a lot better. I hope Yoshi and the team learned the mistakes they made with the launch of Heavensward, and make the launch of 4.0 a little better.

It did make a come back and save the game. Greatest comeback in gaming history? Doubt it. FFXIV Realm Reborn brought nothing new to the table. It borrow the same formula as wow and rift already have and make it a casual game where everyone enjoy. I admit 1.0 have it flaws, but atleast it's different and stand on it own as unique game. Now it's just another wow game with a Final Fantasy franchised title slap on it.

From a gameplay perspective, sure. However, FFXIV went from nearly bankrupting Square Enix to single-handily pulling their stocks above of the red line. It currently is funding both FFXV and FFVII Remake, though by how much is debatable. No one game has ever accomplished such a feat. While you can certainly criticise the game's overall lack of creativity - even though I would personally disagree - you cannot take away what Yoshi achieved. Different does not always equate to good. In fact, many developers fall victim to desperately trying to avoid cliches, they instead go the opposite extreme. To cite a non-SE example, BioWare's mishap with Mass Effect 3 caused one of the biggest backlashes in gaming history, all because they insisted on a "unique" ending when they fanbase wanted something simple.

Well when threads talking about things that are brought in wrong get interrupted by people "complaining about the complainers" and the ever vague "they should work on content" it seems only fair. Sorry we aren't all in lockstep all the time with the latest mmo limitations.

The best now, yes. There isn't really anything amazing out there right now. This MMO does not match WoW in its glory days(Burning Crusade/Wrath).

Completely revamped the entire game in 2.0, making the greatest comeback in gaming history since FFI.

Agreed, I do have mad respect for Yoshi and his team for not giving up. I can't deny the hard work they put in.

They have started cutting back on this a bit.

Actually communicates with the playerbase and directly addresses their concerns. Certain other MMOs NEVER show this kind of devotion to their players.

They communicate on small QoL issues usually. It took them over half a year to reply to my 150 page thread on RMTs and what needs to be done. They'll reply when they have a favorable answer they can give, if not, they are very hesitant to do so.

Yes, though I think releasing the story mode before Savage was a mistake.

You're kidding right? There's like 4 face models for each race/gender. If you want an example of great character customization check out Black Desert.

You must not have tried to get a house. My FC had to camp on Christmas in the hopes of getting a house the moment it was demolished. This neighborhood thing has denied many FCs from even DOING content, since some of this content needs a house to even be able to attempt. This is NOT good house design. It's horrible.

And so much more that I could go into. Every time I see Yoshi in a live letter, you can literally see how tired he looks because he works so hard pouring his heart into this game. Don't let all the negative haters and naysayers get you down!

You don't need to let it get you down. If you sift through all the negativity and take it neutrally, there are some good suggestions on the forum. The key is to not get hurt if someone types up an exaggerated response that opposes your view. FFXIV has its strengths and weaknesses, every MMO always will. People comment on the weaknesses because they still care about the game and its future. They don't want to see it go down in flames.
