Just as it says.

On several occasions I've been toying around with retainers until I've found the looks for them that I liked.

Twice now I've removed a retainer whom I did not like the look for. When it was time to name them I gave them the exact same name as the original. The retainer process successfully lets me complete creation of the retainer, but when you try to access 'that' particular retainer from the summoning bell it crashes FF14 game client.
Bear in mind, all the other retainers load fine from the Summoning Bell.

First time this happened to me, when I logged back in, the bug would repeat over and over. Removing the retainer and renaming it something else was the only way to fix it.

This happened to me today 12/22. The client crashed. Apparently, after I logged back in though the retainer loaded fine.

Once more I did it today with the Retainer in my 8th slot. I gave the retainer a brand new name and the game crashed. No amount of recreating the retainer solved the issue. This time I removed the retainer in the 6/8 retainer slot and trying to access the new retainer at the 8/8 retainer spot.

Seems to happen if you try to access the new retainer before accessing the others. That or just some spontaneous aspect of trying to access the retainer.
