Shared house doesn't count for Auto-demolition.... FOR REAL SE?!

This is stupid... Literally stupid.

I was away for about month or so because of Family and Christmas but I have 2 friends that are very active that went to my house every other day to check my house.

Then I received an email on my tablet saying:
FINAL FANTASY XIV Housing Automatic Demolition Notice (10-day Notice)

For real?!

So I had to go to my old parents machine, install the game, lucky I always bring my Token but fuck... the trouble i had to make the game work on old machine....

Why you do this to your subscribers?
Can't you just make it so! If I'm paying please leave the house alone. I'm pissed realhy... fuck.

Make a house per account, demolish houses that are dead completely as in, no subs for 1 month and half or something... realhy... I always payed even when I don't play for 1 month because of stuff... but now this is fuckin stupidity. :/

Saying it was there doesn't help and doesn't solve the issue.
At first i might have read and saw it yeah should be ok.. might not happen... but did happen. It just shows how bad this have been handled especially for players that are subscribed every month. Before there was probably 1 or 2 months that I couldn't play but I payed it anyway.

Why should I be punished because a few people that want housing and some of them are people that subscribe with months skip.. why should I get punished?

Now I was able to do something about it... but what about next time?
What about if I go to hospital for something and then come back and my house is demolished..
Its fuckin stupid.

Devs should start reading the forums for issues that might conflict real life scenarios, instead of checking forum post about people asking for Flying Fenrir Mount.
Before ADDING this new system of demolish there should have been better though of what to do. We probably will be stuck with this system until 3.0...

The worst part of demolish is all the items I have inside rather than losing the house.

At the end of the day housing reclamation is a good thing that was sorely needed - and here's the kicker: It was a hotly requested feature on the forums. So I guess all that time the Devs spend not reading the forums are spent....reading the forums?

I guess you missed the part where we're getting new wards in 3.3 and then apartments and Ishgard housing after that.

The housing reclamation was only the first step of their plan to alleviate the housing issues.

Yes, but how awful would it be to be in the hospital/be unwell for 45 days straight, get better, finally log back into your favorite game and your house is gone?

What has been hotly requested is a fix to the severe lack of housing in this game. Housing reclamation has not provided that fix. It is, at best, a band-aid on a gaping wound.

So you are for punishing people who fall ill, by taking away their houses that they earned? Especially if their subs are paid up. Real compassionate of you.

Really?!?! Reclamation was asked for because there were several abandoned houses, and SE didn't build enough wards for the player base. There were no angry mobs demanding that players should lose their homes if they don't enter them every 45 days. It's just a racket by SE to force homeowners to never let their subscriptions lapse.

If this is so great why don't they apply the same rule to FC homes? If the FC leader doesn't enter the FC house in 45 days it should be demolished and the lot put up for sale. There are lots of FCs looking for houses and this would solve that problem.
