Responses in quote. Also dammit stupid forum system. Counts quote against the 1000 "must edit to post," but doesn't count it towards 10char to edit.No mandatory cross class skills:
Piece by Piece - two touches grants 55% completion, after that, the diminishing returns is so bad, Careful Synthesis II is always better.
I debate this as only good if you aren't taking ingenuity II. It's more one or the other as far as using your CP to reduce the number of synthesis needed. Muscle Memory might be better, but that again conflicts with maker's mark down the list.
Waste Not II - Better for 70/80 dur recipies
I would never take this myself. You would need to be using dura for 7 out of your next 8 actions for it not to be a waste, meaning no ToTT, no reapplying buffs, no anything. It's not realistic to use.
Flawless Synthesis + (can't remember the name of the skill which allows like 10 FS without reducing durability) - the problem here is the cost two cross class slots to use this.
Maker's Mark. Can often be very useful, especially for 40 dura recipes. The fact that using this means you want to take 4 GSM skills makes GSM itself a best choice to use for scrips, since you have more free cross-class.
Manipulation - IMO, no very useful, Master's Mend only cost 4 CP more for basically the same effect.
Can save you from a lot of RNG problems on 40 dura crafts with its gradual nature. Use at 20/40 to avoid the risk of needing to ToTT an excellent at 10/40.
Bands - waste of a slot unless you are going to be doing a lot of crafting for a specific elemental affinity item.
Easy to slot in only when needed since cross-class can be changed at any time. Obviously you would never leave these on when doing other crafts.
