I think it's pretty simple: the priority should be one house per player over one house per character. Your character is just a character, is not real, and in reality doesn't give two flips of fig whether it has a house or not because said character is just data on a server.

The player, on the other hand, is real and does care. The player is the one playing the subscription fees and expecting to be able to access all the features of a game with at least one character. I am more concerned with making sure every *player* has a house than I am about making sure every *character* has a house. Once the former is resolved we can look into "wouldn't it be nice if.." scenarios for the latter. Until then, there should be a limit on one home per account.

And, yes, I'm aware that puts FC home owners into a conundrum, but that's a decision you should have to make as a guild leader. Do you want a guild house or a private home? Figure out how serious you are about leading an FC and make a choice. You don't *have* to run one.
