    Buggy partitions?

My FC has a medium house, and decided to split the top floor in half using a wall of partitions. It came out exactly as we wanted except for a small problem that I just can't seem to fix.

For whatever reason, whenever I leave the house instance, the partition moves ever so slightly, causing a minor gap. I can fix it easily enough, but it's still really annoying to have to do this every time I enter the house. Does anyone know whats causing this and how to fix it?

<sigh>...I feel ya, man. I'm having a similar issue. Though I don't know the particulars, it seems that estates have a "default" grid that they load on, even if the actual placed furniture grid is not in line with this. It's a minuscule difference, so more often than not it doesn't change much, but sometimes....I've only seen it with partitions by the way. The only way to fix is probably on SE's end, and they have such a long "honey-do" list of "needs fixin'", it'll probably never be done...my only recommendation is over compensate and mesh the two partitions together, or just let it be...

Are you using snap to grid enable, so that way all furniture should be smoothly aligned

Sadly, that's not the issue. The problem is that you get it perfect, leave the estate, come back and it's moved on you. In my case, I've used both, with and without snap grid, and in each mode I came back to find the partition had moved. I imagine that's the case for ToppeHatte as well...

hmm, also did u tried to overlap one partition within another, in a way to keep it visually right, like "loosing" one middle log, or also can put in middle some block pillar.

Use a 3rd partion to bridge the other 2. Just slap its middle right on top of that. :3

I had the issue, I kept fixing it and eventually it stopped happening. Sometimes I would remove the partition entirely, and re-place it.

I'm inclined to suspect the issue is probably something hard-coded deep in SE's end of things, that coupled with how relatively minor it is means a fix seems unlikely.

Covering it up with a pillar where the partitions tile would be my go-to solution I suppose, personally I find most partitions look odd without a pillar to go along with them anyway.

Heheh...well, ToppeHatte could try some of that if he/she hasn't already. I, on the other hand, *have* done all of the above, and it hasn't solved the problem, being that everything I do moves a little after I leave...however, from the picture provided, these solutions will work as long as whatever is causing things to move doesn't mess it up. I've done them successfully before...

Thanks for the suggestions regarding an overlap guys. Made another partition and it worked without a hitch. Sort of an annoyance since it was hit or miss with flickering until I re-aligned the entire wall but now it's working perfectly. Thanks, this was driving me nuts all day!
