You could have just tried it yourself in game or drawn the conclusion based on an earlier post that pretty much described the only rule tied to Galvanized effects:Great thanks, what about overwriting my own Succor, does it have to be at a certain number before I can? Because I'll have 10 seconds left on Galvanize after doing Succor and I can recast it and I'm pretty sure it still applies to the people. Seems like only if Adlo is on someone, or if I've just done Succor then it won't. I was thinking maybe it had to be under 15 seconds left before it would renew the duration but haven't really tested it a ton.
Oh, sorry I missed that. Nothing matters but the strength of the shield. Granted, I'm not exactly sure how ast/sch shields mix (I know they both don't stack, I assume though, that if an ast shield is stronger then it will overwrite sch shield and vice-versa).
The reason you sometimes see the shield overwrite and sometimes not is exactly because of the shield strength. There is like a 5% variation on heals/damage, so from time to time you may have a stronger shield on one person but a little bit less on someone else, when you recast Succor it overwrites the weaker shields but not the stronger ones, regardless of duration left on the original shield.
try to remain cool and collected if the tank pulls 3 seconds before your shield falls off also lmao.
especially when its an adlo crit. T_T
It has nothing to do with time left at all. And if you're having problem with healing without Aetherflow, you're not using Rouse enough and/or using any Fey abilities at all.
Galvanize gets re-/applied if there's no currently active Galvanize status to check, or if a Galvanize-applying heal has a larger amount of shielding to add than the currently active. If you use Adloquium and heal 1500 on a target with no Galvanize status, they gain Galvanize. If you use Adloquium on the same target with Galvanize still in effect and heal any amount over 1500, they gain a renewed Galvanize with the new amount overwriting the old amount. The same goes for Succor, except a critical heal with Succor does not double the shielding the healed target(s) gain(s).
