Largest shield wins. But also be aware that the way crit functions with adlo and succor is different. Crit adlo = 2x crit value of shield. Crit succor = crit value of shield. So adlo that crits for 1000 will shield for 2000, succor crits for 1000 it shields for 1000 (figures chosen for clear demonstrative purpose, not reality). So this being the case, when you crit on an adlo, you do not want to overwrite it with succor. Basically you dont want to be overwriting adlo with succor at all if you can help it.

It's literally impossible to override an adlo with a succor unless you were in cleric stance when you casted adlo or something, the bigger shield always stays. Good post otherwise though.

Well, just to be contrary, (namely because it's at that point in the night where my brain is tired enough it wishes to point out random facts), you COULD override Aldo if it's taken enough damage that the Succor shield will be enough to be considered more than the remaining Aldo. From a fresh start on the other hand, it MIGHT be possible to use a Crit-Succor to override a non-crit Aldo if there is some sort of healing potency up on the target that got activated after the Aldo, but before the Succor......
