    Why is it that PSN issues seem to take forever to resolve? It's never just an hour here or there, it's always days.

    some guys decided to hack the playstation system security and posted a video of them running a bootleg CFW and playing pokemon emerald. sony shut down the service to fix this problem and any ability to run a virtual OS. go read the article on IGN

    Remember, PSN is only used for authentication. If you're on XIV when PSN kerplunks, you'll stay online because you are using SE's servers and not PSN, they are 2 different things.
