Hello everyone, i've started up and quit this MMO for awhile, but i've came back and im still fairly a noob. I was just curious to how alive this game is? Is there a known population census of this date today? Like in the thousands, millions? Im on Levithan world by the way as well

I can't speak on a server basis (other than my own, and the huge popular "always going to be complained about because they're full 100% of the time" servers), but I think my server is fairly lively. Queues could use a bit more touch up.

Since relics came out, I've seen more active players in game than at any point prior aside from the Heavensward launch. More so, aside from one or two things, the DF has nearly instant ques even during off hours for my datacenter. People can complain that they don't like the way the relic grind has been implemented, but they can't deny that the game is more lively now than it has been in months.....

I can't speak for other servers but my server is more busier now than even Heavensward. Instant dungeon pings even as a DPS

Well, as for the population overall, last time I checked FF14 was around 5 million subscribers. The game is quite alive but many peoples felt like heavensard re-used a lot of ARR stuff.

You'll mostly be focusing on finishing the MSQ(of course), the anima weapon quest(Relic equivalent) is out and is quite a grind, there is the exploration mission which send you with a bunch of people in a big instanced zone combining fighters AND gatherers and finally the first Heavensward's 24 man raid have been implemented.

So far the expension is enjoyable if you can avoid the salty comment on the forum.

I'm on Malboro. It's somewhat active in the morning, extremely populated in the evening, but a ghost town at night (around 1am central time).

Despite the amount of complaints and people claim to be unsubbing, i've seen more people around all zones and more stuff in PF than ever. So pretty sure you'll find people wherever you go.

To be honest, the inflation of group in PF right now is mostly for farming the required crystal for the anima weapon... at least it's what it is on Famfrit.

That number was 5 million registered accounts. This game has never reached 5 million active subscribers. That was a bit of shady marketing.

But the game is plenty alive and probably still only second to WoW in the mmorpg genre.
