So you selling overpriced houses to other so you can then turn around and buy a overpriced house from someone else? Why don't you level up some crafting jobs or do more on leveling on your gathering jobs and make gil that way.


From this sounds like you not very good at making gil which I ask how you made your 5 million gil to buy a small house anyways?

Hmm well lets see here I started playng this game in March of this year. I started a brand new character on a new server with my wife.

From then until now I accumulated 55 million gil by doing nothing but buying vendor items and reselling them. I also did a bit of gathering on the side.

In the past month I have purchased a medium sized house by myself with no one elses's help for my free company. I sold my small for 5 Eastern Cherry trees and resold them for 2.5 mil a piece. I originaly the home due to an alt being in a guild and master being transferred to me because no one ever logged on past june of this year.

When master was given to me, I had 28mil gil from doing nothing but selling vendor items from all over the world.

I found someone willing to sell their medium in Lavender beds plot 11 ward 5 because they were going to be purchasing a large that had just been relinquished. I transferred this person my dead FC with now no house. I got into their FC with said medium, put 32mil gil in the guild bank. They then gave me master of that fc that included furnishings + airship bay and a completed airship. They went and changed my old FC to their name and I changed the new acquired FC to my guild name and had all of my friends transfer over to the new one. So basically we got to keep our FC name with a new house.

At this point I had 10mil gil left. I recruited and now my guild has 100 members in it with a fully furnished guild house. My wife and best friend worked their humps off and we scrounged selling random stuff from December 1st until december 25th. On the 25th I had 13mil so not enough for the three smalls were were wanting to buy. A friend of mine gave me the 4 mil I needed and we bought plots 49-50-51 ward 2 in the mists. We are now sitting on 400k left. My wife has a small, my best friend and his wife are sharing their small and I have my small.

In fact I will say I am really good at making gil, it is not hard. However nothing I have done in the game is neither against the TOS nor is it not legal. I am sorry people are willing to buy things for 40-150k that they could have purchased on a vendor for 9-11k but that is how it is. The rest of the gil I had made went to fully furnishing the guild house and providing low level crafting materials for our crafters leveling their crafts.

The issue right now is NOTHING on my two retainers is selling. That is why I am forced to sell my three mists plots in the best location in the game. Had things continued to sell over the holiday season, I would be able to purchase a medium in the same ward as our three smalls and have no issues but that is not the case.

Also I refuse to craft. I will never craft. I make my gil playing the MB nothing more.
