If we are to take away anything from how the was handles is that the clearly don't care. Housing is unable to be purchased on jenova.

I love how silly people are lol. Houses JUST returned to the market today. Give it time and chill if you want a house that bad for cheaper. Prices will regulate when there's no market. That's how economy works.

You cannot fault SE for players being greedy...

This was only day one...tomorrow, any player who owns a home who hasn't logged into it in the past 45 days=another home up for grabs, the next day= same thing. Basically, unlike before where you HAD to camp the maint/log in right away to get plots, now, they will randomly continue to spring up. So if you missed one today, keep looking, over time, more will keep opening up.
Also, while it might work for people for a while to keep trying to buy out the server and re-sell them...sooner or later (esp. on smaller servers), they won't be able to benefit from this because there will always be additional plots unlocking...so, they will need to keep up buying everything, every day it pops open...or give up.
I know this is little comfort to those who hoped for a plot today/have to deal with people being scrooges on their server, but this was only day 1. Keep looking, plots will keep opening. Also, take note of when the free login began/ends...that likely will tie into another large window of turnover. Lastly, have friends help you keep an eye out if you haven't already done so. But I suspect, you'll see a couple homes open up in waves this week-next (b/c people logged in at patch to 'save' their home, but haven't since logged in/let their sub run out since then)...and then like I said, another round of waves that line up w/ the free login.
You seem to be grossly misunderstanding the issue. On many servers there are no houses available (and up until today there were no houses available on any server). You can't wait for deflation on empty plots when there are no empty plots. And as for people that are selling their plots, you can't possibly expect that their prices will ever go down. Supply and demand. There is incredibly little supply, and a huge demand. Prices on player sold houses are never going to go down until tons of new wards/plots are introduced.
There is no way to argue against a fault in the system being obvious when there is a clear shortage of housing and the ability to buy more than one per account remains. SE completely FUBARed housing imho and created the situation well before demolition even became a thing.
Also, aside from that, Christmas is a holiday wherein a lot of players were away from the game with family. That is NOT the day to make housing available since quite a few people who wanted housing were not able to be on. I can't even begin to figure the thinking on SE's part on that one.
It's easy they weren't thinking anything. Much like all things housing related foresight and planning or even actually caring to work on a proper system in the first place isn't very high on their to do list.
first off jenova server has been bugged and cant get housing despite waiting for over 30 hours after the demo of houses. second i pay to play this game so dont tell me to take it easy. i get there isnt enough housing and i get that people just sell them but at least they opened when they said they would. on jenova server right now people are at each others throats fighting for land plots for over 30 hours. yes its just a game but we expect when they say things will be available they will be and no response for over 30 hours of a major bug is unnacceptable when they make over 60 million a month. lastly if i pay to play this game i have my right to my own opinion and this is just wrong.
