Please implement properity tax

1m a month? o.O It took me, I kid you not, like 6 months to even get to 1mil (and I'm at 800k not 1mil after buying decorations for le house). The only way I even own an FC house is because I only paid half of it. My FC is literally just my boyfriend and me, before they implemented personal housing and being able to share benefits etc. We don't craft or anything, so it took us a while to even SAVE for it. Tax would only push poorer players like myself to not own homes, and all the homes will be owned by them rich folks lol

Usually, poorer players like myself, aren't very concentrated on hard core end game goals. I don't care about best gear, best weapon, top item level, etc. I enjoy the story and play it very casually for fun, it's usually players like myself that enjoy the housing as an end game more than the previous end game goals mentioned. Every random person I talk to who takes the game much more seriously than me, has a bunch of gil, barely cares about housing, whereas players like me *really* care about the fun of it. Punishing us for being able to own a home just because you couldn't, to discourage owning, isn't right o.O

PS Im not saying hard core gamers don't enjoy housing, but I've noticed it's more common for casual gamers to be more attached to their housies.

With extreme lack of housing and refusal to add new ward base on generic format instead of server damand. Its time we need to disencourage ppl from owning a house by implementing properity tax. Withour implementing taxes how else would the 3 states of Eorzea maintenance their land, gil does not grow on trees; so how does 1-3 mill a month sound.

Last I checked Property taxes were around 3% a year on the 'ole homestead on the Purchased value of the house in the US of Glorious A.

I paid 1.2M on my humble small house.

So figuring current tax rate in 'murica I would pay the Sultanate of Ul'dah 36,000 Gil a Year in Property Taxes or a Monthly amount of 3K Gil.



Now my Free company house was much more expensive. 50M Gil

at the same tax rate it would be 1.5M a Year or 125K Gil a month.

That is a terrible idea, why should every owner be punished because of some rich peoples exploitation on a few NA servers.

Something does need to be done, however there is a better way to fix the issue

NOOOOOPE.... 45 reclamation is fine, it just takes more than one day to see the benefit.

Why stop at 3m a month? why not just make it 20m a day just so you can get your house quicker cause thats clearly what the problem here is /s.

everyone is entitle to there own idea, and I do see that ur a master of a FC and probably own a personal house as well, so this is the way the 1% thinks.

I do, and guess what, through MY hard work alone I bought my FC a small home, and through MY hard work alone, I bought myself a home in a different city-state, after reclamation. Moral of the story? Work hard. Get what you want. Don't try to take away from those of us that have put in the effort to make the money just because you didn't do so. I guarantee you wouldn't have this "idea" if you had put the work in for yourself to have been able to buy one either from another player or reclamation.

Looks to me like you have all your crafts at 50+, so why not take some time, figure out what's selling on your market, and make some gil, then buy a house off another player?

its a good idea , but maybe the tax shud be put on those owning more than 1 house? if 2 double tax.
there also need to be a way so SE can keep track of housing on alts or connected char, to make sure they also pay due tax
