    Unable to complete version check. [30410] [30607] [20459] [10009] [10019]

    Hello. New to this forums. Desperate to address this issue.

    I was gifted Heavensward via Steam. Wished to play it. Was able to log in just fine. Went and registered my code on Mog Station, was asked to install Heavensward via the client, and got this error.

    I have complied with previous solutions to this problem. I have gone into Documents and edited the FFXIV_Boot.CFG file. I have re-installed the game. I have replaced my boot file with a friend's current and working boot file. I have gone through Command Prompt and initialized the steps required to be done through that step. Both of them. Cleared and updated IE. Even reset my router. The only thing I have not done is forward my ports, which I really hope is not the apparent solution to this problem (it is also the only thing I don't know how to do.) All solutions have ended with this error.

    I also want to point out that please, do not verify files through Steam. Apparently the client Steam checks against to see if it is missing any errors is outdated and results in a slow download of 44 files every time.

    This problem has been plaguing me since Christmas. Thank you very much for any help you can offer.

    I am in the same boat, same error code. Ive played this game since launch, and I logged in no problem Christmas morning, checked retainers, then didnt log in again until the 26th and thats when this error started. I tried everything as well, changing the Boot file, also re-installed, tried as admin, used different boot file, reset router, port forwarding, tried in safe mode, etc, nothing fixed it. Meanwhile my internet works fine, speeds, etc are fine, all other games are fine...just this one.

    Edit: Interestingly enough I just installed Pingbuster(VPN), they have a free 3 day trial and after I turned that on I connected right away, although download was slow. While it was downloading the patch I turned off the VPN and it stalled the download. Turned off VPN and re-launched game, no connection again.

    Edit 2: So I just tried a different VPN(IPVanish), same result and was able to connect and download was much faster this time. Looks like I will need a VPN until this resolves itself...

    Edit 3: Tried WTfast, didnt help. Apparently need a VPN service
