The system has the potential to be extremely good provided they keep improving it and adding to it, I know a lot of crafters that like where the system is heading and it does push people to work together. SE should keep adding more and more unique recipes to the specialists while at same time not forgetting to compliment the systems with plenty of general recipes for non-specialists. In the long term SE is heading in the right direction but it is still early days so it still lacks potential through more recipes. SE are doing the right thing even if some people are throwing their toys out the pram, like children who don't want to share their candy or more appropriately trade their candy for other candy with other people.

This is an MMO not a single player game so the 'social' aspect is very important, it might be more justifiable to whine about working with others in a single player game but not this one since the whole idea of an MMO is to work with others to achieve goals. The biggest mistake SE made was putting so much focus on omni-crafting to begin with but now they are fixing that mistake and bringing more inline with MMO ideologies/principles. I have made most of my crafting friends from having to rely on others to do what I could not do myself and vice versa, it does not detract from either being able to make a lot of money as an omni-crafter/specialist since both are still very profitable plus the specialist system hasn't really detracted from the ego boosting qualities that omni-crafters also have had open to them in the feeling of being wanted or needed by others for something you can do for others.
