Aren't we going towards a dungeon deadlock ?

My Alt only recently finished MSQ, and I'm starting the lvl 60 content.

For now, I'm locked out on most of it, until I gathered enough law to reach ilvl170, doing lvl60 and trial roulettes.

And it got me thinking...in 3.2, Law Tomestones will disappear (With the recent confirmation for a new tomestone, and the usual trend)...at that time, how will people unlock access to the content ?

Fractal and Neverreap require 145. Ok, good. Alex normal, Sirius Hard and Arboretum require 170...hmm, not good. Void Ark requires even higher ilvl...even less good. And if the same pattern is followed, Arboretum and Sirius will be pushed back to level 60 roulette, while the two new ones will make the Expert, meaning that people will be locked out of lvl 60 roulette until they reach i170.

Looking back at 2.x, we had far more room to gather gear. When Philosophy disappeared, they were put in Brayflox, Halatali and Lost City...dungeons that only required lvl 50 to enter, like LotA. It means that drops from WP and AK were enough to unlock access to both of them, allowing you to gather i70 and i80 gear, which open access to the next tier of dungeons and raids, and so on...

Without revamping existing required ilvl or loot list, the solution I see is putting law gear in the new dungeons...thus, making them "lower" than Arboretum and Sirius (Hard). Really weird.

Old currencies stick around a lot longer than you think.
First the pre-Poetics currency has to go. Then poetics. Only after that Law will be gone, and by then the gear will probably drop from dungeons or be given as a quest reward, the way they also did in ARR (think darklight gear, for example).

Well, no lowest tomestones stayed more than two patches. Philosophy was gone by 2.2, Mythology, by 2.4 and Soldiery by 3.0

I have the feeling that Poetics will stay, being lvl 50 tomestones. If you want to do the Zeta questline before lvl 60, you need a way to still gain tomestones.
But it's a possibility...still weird possibility... to allow lvl 60 tomestones before lvl 60.

As for DL gear, it was put in dungeons that only required lvl 50 to enter. We're already passed the ilvl170 mark in current dungeons.

I don't understand the issue? What grants Law now will grant Eso in 3.2. So gearing will be much faster then it currently is? You can run Fractal/Neverreap/Roulette to get Esos at i145 jumping you to i200.

When we get a new currency, Eso will unlock. I don't think the Law gear will go away.

If we follow the same trend, no you won't.
Sirius and Arboretum will be pushed back into lvl60 roulette.
To unlock lvl 60 roulette, you have to do all dungeons in the roulette.
    Sirius and Arboretum require ilvl170.

So, to unlock lvl60 roulette, you'll need to reach i170...without law tomestones.

Eso will unlock because they'll become the lowest lvl60 tomestone, thus, at the same time as the removal of Law Tomestone. At least, it has always been that way until now.
The only exception is Poetics and it's thanks to the level cap increase.

And the existing dungeons already drop better gear than Law.

New players could choose to run Fractal and Neverreap without the roulette to get Eso tomes. The Eso payout will likely be increased once Eso is the lowest tomestone.

I'm guessing the old law equipment will be added to the Centurio hunt vendor to help keep it relevant since Centurio seals weren't used for new the relic quest.

I think you're over thinking things, Reyhart. It's very simple. What gives Law now, will give Eso in 3.2. Fractal will continue to drop i160 (or greater). You do not need roulette to run this. You'll be i170 in a few runs, able to do the Pharos and Abor which drop i185....and by then you can run an unlocked VA/Alex/Savage.....

And all of these dungeons will drop the new tome aswell.

I feel like you believe roulette is more important in gearing than it actually is.

Maybe I'm just traumatized of having to run Neverreap over and over and over again than my brain lost it just by thinking they'll have to do it more than us.

Weren't the Darklight gears originally tomestone gears? Then they just put the drops in the dungeons themselves.
    Maybe something similar will happen.
