My comment was purely satirical.
Although the honest truth is that I had been with family all day and couldn't do my daily Eso/roulettes by the time I got home. Not really that big of a deal, and it gives me an excuse to read the forums.
It's the same issue for me. I spent the whole day at a family party, then helping other family members get themselves situated for a party tomorrow. Then when I log in, I have about 2 hours to rush through all the grind they threw on my lap last week. Kinda sucks.
It's possible the emergency maintenance is to deal with the Anima weapon tokens being sellable to vendors (and thus easy to toss by mistaking them for cheap items) or easy to throw away without a warning. They're likely going to fix that issue along with some other larger bugs, and set the game up to be ready for the housing demolition.
I'd much rather things get fixed than be completely broken.
I understand and accept maintainace, but it does seem more frequent lately.
I love the concept of "Go spend time with your family" as an alternative to playing.
It's 1:30 in the morning, I'm not sure my family would appreciate it if I divebombed their bed as per this thread's instructions.
But my insomnia ridden self shall wait out the maint and read a book!? Maybe...
Netflix? Who knows! Ugh.
Though there is a reason why FF games in general are almost glitch free. Square has always been known, albeit underrated with their actual quality of games. FF games are not known for their glitches and bugs. Stuff like the Batman blunder and glitch/bug riddled games like Skyrim just doesn't happen here (not saying Skyrim is bad, but you gotta admit, sh*t is buggier than a roach infested Wii).
Time and effort is spent in making a game a like this, a lot of time. The devs are working on Christmas Day to keep the quality of the game on track. While you guys are complaining you had to prepare dinner the entire day.

You know, it's common for the maintenance to be slotted for 4h but they typically end earlier. I literally renewed my drivers licence, made brownies and cleaned the dishes and maintenance was over. 2h 15m is not bad at all, i thank SE for their swift completion times.
