Some classes always luck out with stuff like this. There was a time where BRD BiS (during i130) was a crafted 110 chest with pentameld. As both token and raid chests were completely useless.

lets add some light to this situation.

Gordian gear for pld is amazing but many people fail the fact, crit + det.

DRK and WAR are the more desired A4S classes yet their BIS is relic while the PLD who lacks DPS is A4S.
The irony in that is................... stupendis.

The classes that have better time end game for some reason get a better relic rather than raid end gear.

yes all in all unless rng loves you it will take 8 weeks A4S to get wep same kind of time relic but PLD has far less A4S clears than DRK/WAR
