    Samurai; Ranger, bow as the main weapon, katana in the off hand. DPS rather than DPS/Support, combat involves building up to your typical Samurai flashy sword slash with archery as the buildup.

    Red Mage; Summoner, minus the Egis. Melee/Fencing combos build up to instant cast magic, magic combat revolves around applying DoTs and bursting them (like Fester).

    Summoner; Take the Job as of 52-60 and apply that to 1-50. How Bahamut-Egi was handled is how all Egis should be handled... Slap in the elemental wheel, which in 1.0 was a dual wheel (Fire > Ice > Wind > Fire, and Earth > Lightning > Water > Earth), so you have two stances going on at once, lets say Ifrit and Titan, when you've done your Ifrit stuff, your fire stacks are weak, so wind (Garuda) takes over, and so on. Slap Bahamut on top of all that in a similar way to how it currently is.

    Blue Mage; Tank, but magic based... Rather than VIT/STR, you have a VIT/INT tank. Rather than the traditional learning mechanic the Job is famous for, I could see it working more on a counter basis... Something like Shield Swipe, but instead of blocking and using Shield Swipe, you get hit with a specific move and that lets you use that skill against the enemy. So Chocobo hits you with Chocobo Kick? Now you can hit it back with Chocobo Kick! A few skills like that, so you can "hold" a few enemy skills to unload as you see fit...

    Dancer; Healer, but melee based... The way it worked in XI is pretty good, needs a few changes but the Flourishes/Jigs/etc. were a nice mechanic.
