Can we please have filters for tell chat?

I know only all too well how annoying RMTs spamming you with advertising tells can be. So I came up with the idea of filtering incoming tells. This would allow you to preselect who you want to receive tells from...

[] Party members
[] Free Company members
[] Linkshell members
[] Players on your friend list
[] Players in same area
[] All players

I figure a system like this, if implemented, would cut down on 95% of the spam while still allowing you to get party invites unlike /busy and receive actually important tells regarding gameplay unlike /busy or disabling tell chat altogether

This has me banging my head into the wall as well as pluck my hair out one by one - hair that's gone grey at that, because of this very issue and suggestion. I couldn't count how many times this, as well as other such rational suggestions, has been mentioned, talked about, discussed on here - and not once has it even been acknowledged. Yeah...

Exactly.
Or if you run past and they /t you about how you got X or if you know how to get somewhere.
My 2 seater Chocobo usually only gets a workout if there is a new player about XD
