    A thank you for the DEV team!

    Hello Square Enix,

    I just wanted to send you guys a thank you for all the work you already have done for us so far!
    I really love the updates that have been in the past and will come in the future.
    The dev team and producer really should get a nice card with a thank you from us all.
    The past year people have made friend and have lot's of laughs.
    And all of this work has been done for us without even charging us anything.
    It is time we all do something back for you guys!
    Thank you for the wonderful games of Final fantasy that you already have given us.
    Final Fantasy XIV will get better and better!
    It is the first MMORPG that did not bore me to death.
    And i have been around since the release date.

    Thank you for all the hard work!

    Lol.. Nah i just think that with all the negative posts there should be some positive ones too :-)
    As i run game servers it is kind of really cool that game devs talk to us. And work for all of us like this.

    Yoshida-san did say that it makes his job a lot better when he knows we're cheering him on, so I'm always for it. I may not always like the changes, but I haven't disagreed with any yet. He's got his head on straight and his team focused in the same direction. It bodes well for a good game, that just doesn't automatically guarantee that you, subjectively, will enjoy every single bit of it.

    EDIT: And yes, recouping losses by asking people to pay for a product as if it was a complete version when even the information for the final release in 2013 is referred to as a "teaser" is unconventional; but that doesn't mean its inexcusable. If you truly want to play the game someday and want it to succeed - it's called an investment. If a game is unable to come up with the funds necessary for development and you want to see it finalized someday - if you're not willing to invest, you're not worthy to play.

    If I love FFXIV years from now, I'll be proud to say I've been there since the beginning and supported them when they were down. If they totally blow it and I put a lot of money into it for nothing? Well, that'll be my bone to pick with Square Enix in 2013.

    Where do you think the expansions for XI came from? Your subscriptions. You want a new XIV? Unfortunately, it's gonna cost you. Don't want to play XIV now? Don't have faith in XIV later? Then go play something else, don't invest, and forget this ever happened. Just don't hang around the boards talking trash when chances are you'll come back and reactivate after SE's got their shit together, anyway. It lacks class.

    yeah it does. Even if it would have been a beta you tested..
    they still talked to you gave us a lot that we wanted and worked day and night for us even when they had a disaster going.
