    Relics vs Raid gear idea.

I hear there is a slight problem over the placing of relics in the gear progression compared to raid gear progression as well as relic casual-ability, here is my fix ( or an idea for future relic quests )

Make relics take an unique slot in ilv e.g. so they're the only weapon with that ilv, make them the 2nd best option at fully upgraded ( e.g. relic second stage 205, heaven 210, relic third stage 215, Alexander -high newest raid gear- 220/225 ) and keep with that progression. So at any stage there is a slightly better ( and quicker ) raid option for raiders.

But please lessen the RNG element needed if relics are aimed at casuals / non-hardcore loving players who may play 1-3 hours a day and want to see a progression every time they log in rather then spending 3 + hours doing the same thing and possibly not getting a single crystal. Break it down the RNG maybe by making it 6 crystals per stage and more dungeons ( that way its a even RNG grind balanced with reward but still getting the same amount of crystals ) . How bad will it feel that you grinded 3 hours all your gaming time and had nothing to show for it? I would rather take a 5 ilv disadvantage and follow a quest progression ( or broken down RNG ) rather then grind the same thing for over 3 + hours in hopes RNG gives me 1 of 18 crystals needed. If possible keep the RNG to the final stages so casuals have medium high level relics before hitting the RNG wall. ( And for hecks sake no boring / meaningless filler quests to make it more of a grind then it needs to be )

Balance the secondary stats to have equal benefits on a job by job basis. The process of doing so will force the dev team to actually learn about the various jobs in the game and allow for different gear sets with different types of DPS focus. mix and match for balances approach, stack one for big hits (current and only method) or stack skill speed for DoT damage to increase much higher than it currently does. Some fights may prefer one style over the other... or balance for people who want to get ALL of the gear. Wow! Suddenly, all of the current gear in the game is beneficial or useful for everyone! Raiders, non-raiders... doesn't matter, everything becomes worth while and for the people looking to specialize in one for of DPS or the other, it's something more to work toward, but by no means the best option 100% of the time. Mechanics will dictate which sets are top DPS for hte time or go the safe route, mix and match everything for something more balanced for every encounter, but a slightly lower ceiling.

Result: All gear useful, more than one way to play the same class which leads to more fun, if one play style feels a bit old, but you enjoy the class you play!

That is not the point, the point is Raiders are getting pissed that they have to do hard dungeons for there ilv210 gear and others can just get it ' free ' from quests, so this overall would solve the bitching the devs have come out and said they want to ' balance ' the skill with time so that the time needed = the skill needed to do raids. * which you can never really do anyways because that's comparing lemons with oranges. * and the biggest thing I take issue with is the time needed etc, they said they wanted to aim relics towards more to casuals, who won't really do Ravex / Thordan ex / AS4 but nothing really ' causal ' about horrible RNG, just make it longer like they normally do, collect 10000 of X or kill 1000 of X
