MCH, Gauss Barrel and Armageddon.

This thread is not being made to talk about whether or not I like the skill. This thread is actually about the gauss barrel itself. Now MCH has already been shafted on our lunchboxes. If you do not know what I am talking about is that they do not change appearances with different guns. Different BRD bows have different quivers so you would assume we would get different lunch boxes right? Already being the class with some of the plainest animations in the game barring gauss round and ricochet. My issue lies in with GB on guns. Now on some guns it fits perfect. Centered, aligned and just over all looks nice. Some guns it floats such as on the ferdinand.

I can take floating, but misaligned is just sloppy. For such an important weapon can we not get the gauss barrel to be centered between the barrels on the Armageddon? I wanted this weapon as a glamour piece because I love the design of the weapon, but soon as I saw that gauss barrel attached my motivation took a nose dive.

Ha! Wow that's terrible. But honestly....did anyone expect anything better? SE doesn't seem to put much effort into MCH.

Maybe if we ask for it long enough they will finally remove/glamour out Gauss Barrel.....just like they gave SMN egi glam-glamz....oh wait =/

Seems about right for how much effort they've put into the rest of MCH development.

At best, dyable guns also change the color of the hip-box thing. But it's pretty inexcusable that the buff we'll almost always have on looks like it doesn't even fit on most of our weapons. Much less that the hip-box never changes, unlike BRD Quivers, which change all the time.

Use /gbarrel so you won't see the gauss barrel yourself. Only others will see it.

Most MCH would disagree. These threads died off almost instantly once /gbarrel was added to the game. It was a satisfactory solution for almost all involved. Heck, even the guy who resurrected this dead thread did so because they didn't know about /gbarrel.

Seriously, the only people who care about how drone alignment looks on other people's guns, care only because they want to make sure that that drone is actually on there, and that the MCH is not a scrub trying to play without Gauss Barrel because of the way it limits movement.

Honestly, if Egi-glamours, too, had been client-side only, it, too, would have satisfied most Summoners. Other players care about Summoners' Egi only so far as to make sure they're not using Titan, and no further.

The Gauss Barrel is centered on the top barrel only because it's based on the Gatling gun. The three barrels rotate just like a machine gun - only the currently topmost barrel will fire the shell while the other two barrels are in a state of automated reloading. In addition, multiple barrels set up like this allows each barrel to cool off faster which in RL allows a faster rate of fire.

If the Barrel were centered (assuming it works to magnetically increase the velocity of bullets passing through it or whatever the magical equivalent is), the bullet would do some crazy bad physics. So while it looks weird, it's because it's based on how a gun like that would actually fire.

Considering that the gauss barrel functions exactly the same on any gun model (whether it's a wide barrel, double barreled, or a revolver), and the fact that we shoot at least 4-5 different bullets with one type of gun, physics would be the least of the concerns.

The Gauss Barrel is centered on the firing point of every gun, and the Armageddon also only fires from the top. What you call misalignment, I call an interesting nod to realism.

I'm just disappointed that it's the same damn GB/pack model.

Yeah, dont think its misaligned, if the gun is something gatling or revolver esque then the guass barrel is aligned with the top gun barrel and tri-barrels should be rotating and firing for only that position.
