I used to, if not defend, at least understand the "Destroy on pickup" items. It keeps rare items rare. People who get the rare drops can sell them for tons of gil, or craft the rare furnishing and make even more gil. The people who get the furnishings are satisfied that they have someyhing not many others do.

This is not worth it. Avoiding somewhat upsetting a handful of people who won't get as much gil off the marketboard, or won't feel as special with their rare items, is not worth pissing off the thousands of players who just want to use their houses without being punished.

Please remove "destroyed on pickup" from the game. It is an outdated feature that does far more harm than good.
