you guys went overboard with this new relic

It is literally going to take months of grinding to get this relic, the time efffort spent on this weapon compare to the previous alterations across the board from the past is ridiculous for a weapon whose lifespan is not even that long before nerfs/better items come out and a new version needs to be waited on, doing about 3 months worth of content and then having become obsolete :/. I am personally not doing it past the i200 until nerfs there is no incentive and the work does not justify the curve.

Agreed, I was looking forward to doing this but when I saw the last step, it was enough to tempt me into unsubbing. Just, no. Not enough content to actually give a care about, and this sort of struggle for something that will be outdated soon enough? I haven't even cleared Thordan EX because no one can get past tethered knights and I'd rather be doing that than this.

People want everything handed to them.. i would personally rather have something feel special than "here have an excalibur, here have an aegis, here have a gae bolg" ect ect.. even if they become outdated you can still glamor them to stronger less pretty weapons.

So much in ffxiv is already handed out that really there should be atleast a few things that are not. If you think that it is a waste of time better spent elsewhere then spend the time doing other things and wait for easier to get gear until the new relics are made easier to get like the old ones were.

1040 Beast tribe tokens - if that's correct at 12 per day it's 87 days, which is 3 months, one patch cycle of doing only Beastmen Tribe Quests. for the people who were into the original relic grind, that sounds normal for what the quest is actually.

personally, i'm not going to try until like 3.3 when they inevitably will nerf this down from 20/4 to 5/1.

You people white knighting it realize by the time you are done it is next patch cycle first relic to do this, and its not even something to do its cramming mindless grind that serves no purpose but over glorified glamour at this point because of said 3.2 having better shit for the next 3 months...

It's a grind, but honestly this gives me an excuse to actually go through and do the rest of the beast tribe quests. I stopped because I didn't want the mounts and had no other compelling reason to bother. Now I have a reason.

I've been capped on law tomes for the last week and I've been too lazy to turn them in. Law rains from the sky.

The only part that I'm raising an eyebrow over is Alexander, because I stopped caring about it months ago. Now I have to remember how the fights go.
