Super disappointed that they chose Vegas again for NA. I was hoping they'd switch it up each year. Its hard to justify spending that much to vacation somewhere ive already been when there are still so many other places to see.

Probably ease of getting a venue. I go strictly for the fanfest itself, so I'm looking forward to it again.

Yeah, plus Vegas is the #1 destination in the US for conventions. Plus they chose a pretty darn good venue this time to make it hopefully more enjoyable for those that stay on the strip.

Can someone tell me what to expect, exactly? Going to Frankfurt would be really easy, but I am not sure about anything. Except COSPLAYERS EVERYWHERE.

The base ticket was $120. There was a small chance of getting an optional VIP upgrade for another $80, but the upgrades were sold out in 30 seconds when they went live.

Amusingly, although it did not seem to be so at the time, the Fanfest crowd managed to completely DDoS poor EventBrite when the tickets first dropped. It was so bad they had to retool their entire back end to survive 3000 people hammering it all at once.

As to what to expect: Lines. Very long lines.

Early registration is where you go in before the event starts to pick up your badge and get your goodie bag.
