To counter the "It's not that expensive to get the Crafted Items" argument... two important pieces of information.
- The Anima Weapon was designed, in part, with solo players in mind. Requiring specialist crafted items defeats that purpose, as even assuming they have Grandmaster of the Hand and Grandmaster of the Land, this cannot be completed solo. (By solo, I'm referring to my idiom, where I will Duty Finder and do not care to have a Free Company or much else in terms of social play. Abnormal for an MMO player, I know.)
- Even buying the materials instead of the finished product off the Market Board, the total cost still vastly exceeds the funding of the average casual player. My brother asked me for 90k to buy a Sanuwa mount, so going by that, I can only surmise that the average casual player (who neither gathers nor crafts) has somewhere between 75k and 125k. Even buying all NQ items and finding a crafter to make them for you, and hoping they get it right, that's still not enough for a full set of the 16 items needed to complete the quest. (The overinflation of the Market Board isn't SE's fault, and I'm fortunate that I can gather and craft some of the component items myself, but not everyone who plays casually or solo is.)
