The 3.2 trailer is out and thats a bigger disappointment then this relic chapter. Instead of making new stuff to craft we are crafting old Allagan stuff ? Good Game! Everything else is a repeat of what we have done for 3 years.

You might not want it, but plenty of others wanted dyeable allagan gear for years.

I love how this thread is always like a court. You say multiple things they find one thing and make it look like its just that you said. No Miles its more than some dyable allagan stuff instead of making new things you are just reskinning and revamping material thats not creative its beeing lazy. This so called big thing thats meant for crafters is in this updated isnt. So many people have burned their time in coil and have most of the things casual and non casuals through all carries.

Also keep in mind SE usually has more to add than the trailers show. I'm not particularly excited about dyeable Allagan gear (it's just not my aesthetic, but tons of people love it) but of course they would put that and dyeable race-only gear in the trailer because people have wanted it. I severely doubt those are our only new crafts (there is at least one other couch they they show in the Orchestrion segment that looks like it is made of a pudding-type enemy) and I am guessing we will get a lot more than the trailer shows. They chose to show off what they did because people are excited for it. You may not be excited for it, I may not be excited for it, but the majority does seem to be excited by it.

The game does stick to the same general pattern, you are right, but they've said they are working on more varied content. As far as how that succeeds, time will determine that. I have a feeling the "big thing" for crafters is going to be released in the patch notes. Especially if it's something technical, or a change to the red scrip system, or a new universal crafter set that lets you bypass the crafter AF2, anything that you can't easily put bells and whistles on in the trailer won't be shown. The trailer is just SE showing one of the cards in their hand, not their entire hand. You can't judge a trailer as if it is the complete update, whether that judgement be a positive or a negative to you. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, so they say.

Well perhaps you should explain yourself fully rather than making a generic complaint and rolling onto the allagan gear. Don't criticize me when you failed to present the main point of your argument.

I would like to give the dev who thought of the "Role Waiting list" for duty finder a high five. Best thing to happen to dutyfinder since ever. I believe I will no longer miss a que going to the bathroom or doing something randomly.

What, exactly, did you expect them to add at the start of a new raid tier? Were they not going to add new dungeons? Were they not going to add a new raid? Should they not have added a new story chapter? None of the content in 3.2 should have been a mystery to you. The game's core content model is stable and they intend to continue with it.

If you dislike that core content model, you should honestly probably find another game because it's not likely to ever substantially change. We'll get a new sort of content probably every year or so (like Treasure Maps, Hunts, or Diadem), but the core of the game is going to remain the same, just as it should for an MMO that has an established player base who like that core.

I'm more excited for the new Allagan Gear than I was for 3.1. It's something I've wanted since 2.1 when they introduced glamour. The new dungeons look great—especially Lost City, which was my favorite dungeon in ARR. Midas gear looks much better than the Gordias gear did, and I'm excited for the raid tier to be balanced for a less hardcore approach. Hlidy is back, too, which is something lots of players have been clamoring for.

I would like to raise 2 issues to the devs attention please:

Blacksmith specialist issue: As much as I hate this specialist system, I'm dealing with it but blacksmith is getting the shaft seriously. Why is it that for every new crafting gear patch, we get nothing but glams and mainhands or offhands for crafting classes only. Why is it that I cannot make ilvl220 weapons but an armorer is allowed to make ilvl 220 armor? I didn't specialize in blacksmith to be able to make glamor weapons. I wanted to be able to make powerful weapons you could have just as easily made them ilvl210 if you don't want people overpowered for whatever reason or so people will still seek higher ilvl weapons. Feel like a glamorsmith, seriously.

Other issue is a tank issue: You lowered our potential DPS output while making fending gear useful again. Ok, I accept this and am coping. Why then are you creating content that does not even require tanking at all for half a fight. Sephirot was a nice change from the norm but lets consider main tanks and off tanks perspective here. Off tanks are hardly useful in fights except a few raids here and there and are DPS 90% of the fight if not more with almost no Off tank mechanics if any at all except from a very rare main tank death recovery. Sephirot (hardmode, have not tried extreme yet) has literally no tank mechanics at all in phase 2. If you don't want us to push out high numbers then give us something to worry about other than pushing out high numbers. Made this post in the tank thread but its important to me enough to post it here.

    Thanks,
    -Sad Off Tank War

Sephirot Extreme does require an offtank, but the actual tanking mechanics are fairly minimal. You're responsible for the two Cochma adds during the transitional phase, taking the damage of the Fiendish Wail towers when the buffs/debuffs aren't out, and picking up a couple of Binah adds during the last phase.

Outside of those brief parts, you're a dedicated DPS.
