PvP Stats/Gear

I'm confused as to how PvP works. If I buy the iLvl 180 gear, with moral I should be iLvl 210, right? However, the level 60 PvP areas sync you to item level 150 (Seal Rock) and I believe level 90 for Wolves den. So why buy the armor, I mean, other than appearance. 150 seal rock victories for just appearance? Sheesh, seems steep to me..

Also, materia is negated in PvP, so why is there a PvP material vendor selling materia that won't even improve your stats?

What am I missing here?

I love PvP! I want exclusive gear that makes me better in PvP, something to work toward. If you want to get better in PVE, you raise your level, get better gear, learn your class, and add materia, but in PvP, you learn your class, clench your cheeks, and hope you don't get gang banged or that your team doesn't ditch you mid fight...(I play Maelstrom, happens A LOT!)

Help me out here folks, what am I missing?

The ilvl 180 pvp gear helps u to push secondary stats but its not much of difference its more for wolves den 2 which is coming in 3.2. Its good that morale doesnt work in frontlines since it has no ranked matchmaking. You would get destroyed against rank50 ppl as a lower ranked player

Even still, Wolves is a dead game mode. There is no reward other than the sheer fun of beating on other heroes of light.

I understand the ranked thing, since the gear is rank locked, it stifles anyone who isn't high enough rank.

So essentially, Frontlines is more or less just PvP without any bonuses, wolves is PvP with gear bonuses?

The bandwagon argument is that in 3.2 i180 will make it BiS.

So really, you are spot on that it makes no sense whatsoever as of 3.0 to current. (Note BiS 3.2 Wolfs Den is mere conjecture)

So in Frontlines the 180 is still technically BiS?

Not all of it, you need to find out your BiS with i150-i210 gear. All left side i180 PvP gear doesn't have any accuracy on it so it's a go to for PvPers.
