Casual Raiding Group Looking For Members

Hey there everyone. My friends and I are beginning to form a raid group with the intent of taking on Alexander Savage. We're relatively skilled, but we wouldn't classify ourselves as "hardcore" raiders by any means. We play the game to enjoy it and each other's company above all else, and do not get overly angry about mistakes, though we of course strive to correct them in the future. We intend to tackle the content as a group of friends, and eventually clear it together.

Our raiding schedule will change based on when we're all available to get on together, and is unlikely to be on the same day each week, though we will attempt to make it within the same time frame.

So, if you're so unorganized and aren't super hardcore raiders, why should I bother signing up, you ask? Because while we may not be making highly scheduled super long session attempts, we do have every intent to clear the content. It will just be at a pace that suits us, rather than forcing our personal schedules to suit the pace of the raid. Above all else as gamers, we want to enjoy the game.

So, what are we looking for? We're looking for enthusiastic players to join our group. While it's not necessary to be the best in the world, this will be some of the hardest content currently available, so we want to be sure you can at least fill your role in the party.

If you aren't quite as suited to fill a slot as another member, don't fret. Anyone who wants to be a part of this, I will gladly keep in contact with as potential substitutes if a main member of the group has to drop out for whatever reason. Additionally, if enough substitute members sign up, we may look into forming extra raid groups with the members between the them being interchangeable so long as we're on the same stage of the raid.

One last thing before going into the details of what we need. If you're interested in joining, but don't currently have the gear for it, don't worry. We're willing to work with you to build up your equipment. The same goes for if you don't think you're good enough for the content. Between our core group, our members have played all three roles extensively, and have put at least some time and effort into most of the classes. If you're willing to learn without getting angry at constructive criticism, we're willing to help. The slots won't necessarily go to who shows up the best equipped or most skilled. If someone who isn't quite there yet shows that they're willing to work hard to improve, or are willing to put the time in to get their gear, then that will certainly be taken into account.

What We Want From You

*Be willing to learn from mistakes, and take constructive criticism well.
*Be willing to help other members without being unduly mean.
*Be willing to keep trying and work as a group to improve.
*Don't get angry or upset about every little thing that goes wrong.
*Don't purposefully start drama. If something does occur between you and another member, you should make all attempts to resolve it peacefully without involving anyone else. If that cannot be done, and you cannot work together in a professional manner, then give notice that you are leaving the group in a non-disruptive way.
*Always be willing to learn more about your job and role within the group, and work hard to improve yourself.
*If on a PS4 or PS3, having an external keyboard is preferable so that we can communicate through text at the very least. If not possible, then consider creating custom macros to put on a hotbar you don't normally use that give notifications of things such as "AFK", or "wait a few moments", so that you can quickly communicate with the rest of the team without having to scramble to use the digital keyboard.
*We will be using TeamSpeak to communicate during raids. While it is not necessary for you to be able to join us on TeamSpeak, it is highly encouraged as this will make for smoother runs.

If you're interested in joining us in any capacity, feel free to comment in reply to this thread. Again, while we have every intent to clear the content, our main goal in all of this is to have fun while doing it.

PROGRESS:

In this section, I'll be posting progress updates in regards to what we've been accomplishing during our runs.

11-17-2015 - With our main group, we made our first attempt at A1S today. Got Faust down to 14% health during our best attempt. Our party composition was DRK, WAR (Sub), AST, WHM, BLM, NIN, BRD, and MCH. We're planning on gearing up a bit more before our attempt next week.

11-24-2015 - With our main group, we attempted A1S again. Got Faust down to 9% during our best attempt. Our party composition during that attempt was DRK, DRK (Sub), AST, WHM, BLM, NIN, BRD, and MCH. Hoping to gear up better, have certain members work on improving their rotations more, and try again next week. Even if it's only slight progress, it was still progress.

12-8-2015 - Changed up our raid group, cleared Faust. Got Oppressor down to 70% before having to quit due to time. Our party composition was DRK, DRK (Sub), AST, WHM, BLM, SMN, MNK, MCH.

What would the times roughly be?
Im a warrior with A1S+A2S multi kill.
Thing is that i work late shift and wont be home before 22st mo-fr, sat/sun i can make any time.

The idea is to make the times based around what is best for all our members. Our other tank works at least two or three nights a week and every other weekend if I remember correctly, so things such as that will factor in greatly. More than likely, we'll be going for the weekend as our main raid time once we get our full group, since that is what is most often available. Again though, since our members all have varied times they can get on due to IRL issues such as work, we likely won't have a singular set "schedule" until we know who all is interested, and what will work for everyone. Hes not new to the game, but he got no real raidexperience and stuff.
He wishes to raid, but a progressraid wouldn't fit.

Actually me and a friend have been trying to form a static. Sadly not so easy to find people interested.

She's an healer(whm and ast) and as for me my main role is blm(even thought I only started playing this game two months ago I'd say dmg wise its pretty good, and we've even cleared every old ex primal in duty finder and new ones aswell many times in party finder).

As for time avaibility we're both free usually during afternoon and most days during evening.
Gear wise she's currently at i199 and as for me I'm just at i194(sadly limited by weekly queue). Anyway I know I can't talk about dps numbers in forums but if you want proves talk with me ingame .



As for experience Ive never tried savage but I read guides, and she has tried before. Still, last game I played had similar complexity strategies and to make it worse in last patches I played everything was time limited so I'm pretty used to playing under pressure. I'd say I found so far every primal ex strategy easy.

No worries in the least. I know how IRL stuff can come up. We'll always have an open slot for you in our reserves section when you get back.....
