Transferring large sum of gil to friend

    Hi there,

I've played XIV since the release of ARR, but since the release of HW I've felt the game has become boring. As such I've decided to stop playing completely.

Before I stop playing completely I'd like to surprise a dear friend of mine by giving them all my gil. I am a bit hesitant to do this however as I know SE are always tracking down gil buyers and sellers, so I'm wondering how I can verify that this is my choosing and not some bot or gil seller.

I would call up SE support and tell them, but it's after-hours and I'd rather get this done now.

I'm not saying it was ascians... but it was ascians.

Just do a straight trade. I've done 10 mil+ transfers (from housing sale) and have never been questioned for it. SE has the ability to see how you acquired the gil, but I would tell the person you are giving it to them because you are quitting before hand as this will objectively show and record your motive and conversation for the exchange. As opposed to you just running up and trying to dump gil on someone without their knowledge which could seem suspicious.

You can also mail the gil (probably along with a message in your case)

Unfortunately with a 1 mil per message limit OP may be there all day. I doubt there will be any suspicions aimed your way as RMT use level 1 characters and are 95% the default male Hyur.

There's a gil limit to trading too and that hasn't stopped anyone.

As long as the gil is legitimate, your friend shouldn't have anything to worry about.

GM's have ways to see where the gil comes from.
