Weather effects and our characters

Blood & gore would have major consequences for the game, with some geographical areas limiting the sale or banning it altogether. I'm over 18 (cough) but don't have a credit card anymore; it's quite likely that the subscription would have to be paid by credit card *in the player's name* to ensure only adults could play. That would be incredibly detrimental to the player base & eventually be uses by SE higher ups as an excuse to reduce funding (lower player count).

Everything has consequences, even seemingly small & unimportant things like introducing gore.

This game deserves a luxury treatment, I'd wish to see it if not rebuilt at least updated with an Ultra HD texture pack so it would look just as good if not better than the upcoming FFXV, this way it could keep compatibility with weaker systems if they could not handle better graphics without limiting the game's potential thus rendering any excuses to not do it futile!...

Ideally it will be rebuilt using Vulkan & HD textures (right now some are pre-Y2k quality . That would future proof it & allow it to run better on poorer hardware than it currently does.

Doesn't Squall get his face carved the F open in like the first 2 minutes of FF8? Also lion guy eviscerates himself in FFT to summon Jesus. There's blood and gore in FF occasionally.

Little suggestions [...]

Instead of things that would probably wind up being a rendering nightmare or would otherwise wind up looking really corny, I'd rather them add changes to your idle stance depending on the weather. e.g. In cold climates, you occasionally shiver and rub your arms. In hot weather you may pant and briefly fan yourself with your hand, maybe wiping your brow periodically. It gives flavor and makes your character and the world seem more alive, you don't have to worry about trying to render it properly, and you don't have to worry about it looking overly tacky which I'm sure would be the fate of any blood spatter effects they added.

As for the people arguing back and forth about blood and gore: the Final Fantasy series has never been known for a lot of blood and gore no matter how fantastic the battles get. There are a few occasions where they has been bits of blood or what one might consider to be gore, but those are exceptionally rare occurrences and it's highly unlikely that we'll ever see a FF game that showcases realistic violence.

I think it would be awesome to have armor/clothing get more and more ripped and stained as they lose durability before you repair them, but they will probably have to code something for every piece of armor in the game. Also PS3 limitations...

Did you not read the complaints that went around? People hated that the grind is the SAME THING as before rather than the grind itself bring the problem.

That's not necessarily a good thing, specifically if we're bringing back 2.x beast tribes for 3.x content. That literally screams rehash and very little thought put in (especially when it's not really making "dead content" alive since it's mostly solo).

And we have done said beast tribes anyway, so no, not a new thing.

Something that I believe would be fairly easy to implement since they already exists in the games npcs:

1. Hot areas: Fan themselves
2. Cold ares: Shiver and rub their hands together
