PSN Might Be Hacked For Christmas

I heard in the news that Phantom Squad was going to hack psn for Christmas, now I'm not sure what section of the forum to discuss this in, so I apologize in advance if you feel this is the wrong section. I just felt that it was a community issue.

If I stay signed into Final Fantasy are we going to be fine if PSN gets hacked down? I don't want to have to miss out playing on Christmas break. I love seasonal events in MMORPGS, and it would be sad if I had to miss out on the majority of the festivities.

Even worse, if I can stay logged in all week, I'm going to have to spend some of my own money on a cooling system just so my system doesn't overheat. This freaking sucks, it happened last year too. :c

Yes you can stay logged in. I managed to survive it last year that way. My PS4 was on for like 5 days and in game - though to be honest at the end there I was getting the most amusing bugs... ran a titan hm - music cut out 2 minutes in, only fight sound effects remained and other such stuff.

I do 12 hour play sessions on my Ps4 and if you place a book under it or something to raise it up to where the vents in the back are hanging off wherever it is sitting it will not be warming the bottom of the ps4. Ps4 does not have a good design because the vents do not push the hot air far enough away and then warms the base. Also I use a normal fan on it facing one side of the ps4 to blow the hot air away that's coming from the back. My Ps4 only gets slightly warm to the touch and the bottom of it is very cool. It is less noisy as well.

Don't forget to activate your PS4 as your primal PS4 in your PSN account config.

I know last year was such a pain in the tail when they did the hack only cus I worked for Comcast in the internet department, as you can imagine we got overwhelmed for days about playstations (and i think Xbox's too) not going online. Glad I don't use mine but for those who get affected, sorry in advance but just saying calling us or your IP provider won't help you, it would be on Sony/Microsofts side :P

Thank you guys, im going to use your tips for sure. I bought the FF7 port to give me something to play as backup. I also have X2, and Type 0 to play. Hopefully I'll still be able to play XIV this year with no problems. D: I have dailies to do.
