Can we please have filters for tell chat?

I filter my chat already. My first tab is just FC, Linkshells and shouts. I have moved my tells to another tab because I so rarely ever get tells from actual players. So I am never bothered by RMT. It is a problem though that needs to get fixed in regard to tells...

They already have this feature actually! You can customize this under log windows in character configuration.

Filtering keywords would be nice especially to deal with RMT though. Problem is it might filter out real tells but I wouldn't mind that option!

It's possible but there are more than one way for friends or humans in game to contact me ala LS and FC chat or shout. Honestly I don't think ive ever received a tell with the word gil in it outside of a bot in over a year of playing.

WoW had an addon that allowed you to block any message with a certain keyword. I wish we had that here.

It's staggering to me that we STILL somehow don't have such a basic quality of life improvement. /tells are still functionally worthless on a lot of servers. But I guess if they put resources into adding more /tell options that's less money that would've gone to Verminion so clearly the game's priorities are in line.

Joking aside, they really should give some options. When I was testing new characters on other servers, I had a spam /tell before I had even zoned into the main area after the initial CS.

My name alone generates.some interesting conversation alone... and I main SMN... so during long DPS cues I tend to be afk watching hulu or netflix on my tablet... listening for the cue pop alert... but I also want my FC to be able to get my attention if need be... DPS cues can last as long as a half hour sometimes...

I know only all too well how annoying RMTs spamming you with advertising tells can be. So I came up with the idea of filtering incoming tells. This would allow you to preselect who you want to receive tells from...

[] Players in same area
[] All players

I figure a system like this, if implemented, would cut down on 95% of the spam while still allowing you to get party invites unlike /busy and receive actually important tells regarding gameplay unlike /busy or disabling tell chat altogether
