Storage problem

We all know the issue. Expansions create tons of new items and it wrecks what little space we have. Something has to be done. The answer lies in the expansions themselves. Expansions should unlock 1 additional free retainer when you purchase them. It adds just enough space to allow for all the new junk to gather, and frankly for the price of this shit it's the least you could provide.

Give all Heavensward owners a 3rd free retainer slot, and prepare to add a 4th whenever 4.0 might be.

I think they'll have to address this complaint eventually, but for now they seem to have stressed that we now have additional paid retainers, use them.

They should at least let us actually BUY retainers, instead we just rent them. Aren't we paying enough already?

I agree on all points in this thread, especially main and side arms. I have lots and lots of jobs and it's getting hard to change between them because of armory chest limits! Please expand retainers for or make the space for free larger and add more slots for arms!

Agreed on all points. An additional retainer for an expansion is a fair request. And adding more space in the Armory Chest. If you have multiple adventuring classes, crafters, and gatherers those can get a bit full. Crafting and gathering is especially bad if you are at either of the max levels where the classes are not sharing gear.

From the 3.0 patch notes:
"[2.0] Players can now hire up to eight retainers.
* Players are normally limited to two retainers per character. To hire additional retainers, please use the optional retainer service (http://sqex.to/4Aq) available on the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station."

I felt the same way.

To me, it showed that they very possibly even had the option to give us more inventory/armory slots on our characters if they wanted to, but instead they chose to basically put those much needed resources into the cash shop, so to speak. :/

THIS! As we're paying subs AND buying the expansions when they come out a storage BOX, at the very least, would be appreciated. I know you can store some clothing items in your room at the Inns, but only 'special' character outfits. Why can I keep my Celebration outfits and accessories there too? I know I'm going to want to glamour something with one of them at some point, but I can't keep them all.
