    My character is so weak

I am new to this game, i have only played the ps3 beta and i just recently downloaded realm reborn on PC (not heavensword) and have been playing since last week

Anyway, i am currently level 17 Rogue and it seems im doing very weak damage, i cant even keep up with multiple agroed mobs, i have to attack just one at a time or i wont survive

Monsters my level will usually take 20+ seconds to kill one. I do the 2 combo attack as well as my mutilate and assassinate when available but just still takes a long time

Most of your problem is probably your daggers. Your still using lvl 5 daggers and they are getting kind of old. If you have no luck with drops you can often find a vendor in the town in the zone relevant to your level that will sell basic weapons and armor for gil. If that doesn't work your you I suggest burning down enemies generally one at a time.

Using Throw Dagger that you should get from your level 15 rogue class quest to pull them away and finish them one at a time. There isn't much advantage to killing multiple enemies at once at that level.

On that, did you know about the class quest? You get new skills from doing them and I believe they offered weapons for some of the quests too. To do them simply go back to the place you first got your rogue class unlocked.

Pay close attention to your gear, but your priority for upgrades will almost always be your weapon. Never let your regular gear get more than 5-10 levels below your level if you can help it, but your weapon is key to how 'strong' you are.

Compare prices with the same item on the Market Board, sometimes there are bargains to be had, also some crafters will put up HQ items at what amount to NQ prices to be altruistic. You may also find some 'green' gear, stuff from dungeons, on the MB as well. HQ items can in effect be as good as NQ items several levels higher. As Erendis says, do those class quests as well.

You seem to be skipping class quests which come every 5 levels. They give you weapons till lvl 30.

In addition to doing class quests for weapons, you can easily find weapons of your level when looking at the merchant & mender NPC for a similarly leveled area. Any town near Fates/quests that are around your level will ALWAYS have a merchant/mender and they will always have a weapon for your class in that level range. The Auction House usually pales in comparison to the retail prices since a lot of beginners don't know this. It's really not worth it to get HQ items if you're leveling since normally getting a dungeon item will be just as good, if not better than it.

Also, just get used to not fighting many monsters at once by yourself. There is no point to it in this game, and it's really hard too and that never changes, no matter which level you are at and how good your equipment gets.
Additionally, your class is a single target melee class, which means even when you get AoE skills later, they'll be considerably weaker than those of some other classes and not useful at all for killing many monsters by yourself.
Wait until you enter dungeons with other players - you'll see big pulls with many monsters at once and classes that are very skilled on burning them down fast
But when you are by yourself in the overworld, just stick to one monster at a time.

Yes, the overworld monsters in this game are tuned so that, if you're fighting monsters that are at around your level, you can't easily take on more than one or two at a time. Even at higher levels.

Jedite, are you coming from WoW? Not a bad thing, but the game play is different, so if you are just keep that in mind. Keeping gear up to date helps a lot, weapons for damage and armor for survivability.
