    .
I just look at it as there are 3 steps to understanding a dungeon (this really only applies to Mainline anyway, and there's only two of them).
The other dungeons the CS's are so short it doesn't matter.

    Steps:
1)Watch the CS for the story
2)Do the dungeon to figure out how to do it
    3)Farm

This isn't directed at YOU. This is directed at veterans to let people enjoy the game. If you want to skip so you can cut down on step 2 and then watch the CS later. Go ahead.
But don't make other people do what you want them to do when you don't even need them anyway. I'll bet you can run Mainline with 4 even level synced.

I'm saying this just to let new players be comfortable and not get stressed out. At least give them the option and don't be a dick about it.

No, I understand where you're coming from. Sorry for the confusion. But I've also had people who TELL the newbies to just watch the cutscenes and "don't bother doing anything" even after the player has shown interest in running the dungeon and willing to skip the cut-scenes. I've had to forcefully make the party wait a whole *gasp* extra 10 seconds so the player could click skip and then join us. Sometimes it amazes me who impatient some people are.

I just started playing FFXIV, but I had the same problems in SWTOR.

Everyone was in such a rush they would scream at people who did not spacebar through the dialog scenes.

My first time through the dungeons I simply told the group it was my first time there and I was going to go through each cut scene, and dialog scene. As I was the tank, and my wife was the healer it did not really matter if they raged as it, we just booted them, but most of the time (At least 90% of the time) simply telling people we were new seemed to calm them down. Sometimes people dropped group, most of the time it was fine.

I would just make sure you are letting people know in advance that you are going to be watching the scenes, if they rage at you either wait for the vote kick, or drop and find a new group.

I like never do this roulette, unless I am desperate, but I cant stand hoe people act in it. Not sure how I am perceived but, I dont mind waiting for new people, and the one time I said hey we have new people, I was booted, so yeah.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

As someone who started playing after Heavensward was already out, I must say that the Main Scenario eight player raids were probably the most unpleasant part of achieving level 50. At one point I terminated a cut scene as quickly as I possibly could, and in just that amount of time the rest of the group was already out of sight. The worst part was when everyone got into their suits. I had apparently missed out on interacting with the computer initially, as I wasn't aware of the need. By the time I found out this was necessary, everyone else was already stomping ahead in their suits while I tried to quickly backtrack in the elevator and grab a suit. I then got completely and utterly lost for about ten minutes, because the rest of the group was so far ahead. I finally caught up with them in the middle of a boss fight, and got to sit down on the outside and watch other people fighting along with a second person that had been similarly delayed.

i had the same experience back then right after the 2.0 release xD it was always this way, in the 2.0 times probably even worse because castrum was almost the only way to get tomestones for the ilvl 70 gear wich was a big number back then. people were not overgeared like today. so they don't just left you behind they also were flaming you because - especially as a tank or healer - they had to wait for you. i remember running around in praetorium with no idea wich way i have to go and where all the other people were, after they have entered their magiteks and left me behind xD

And that would make total sense if I were interested in NOT gaming.

ugh... This is such a stupid topic. Watch the blasted cuts at the inn. This allows you to take your time, eat some popcorn. I've been playing since the release of ARR and I still ahven't watched all the CS in their entirety. If I had to sit and watch them every day in roulette, I would not run them. Have fun sitting in queue waiting to finish it. In addition, the bonus tomes are not there to make others suffer. They are there so people do the content and for the knowledge we provide the new players.

New players should do what they want- either keep up or go idle at cutscenes.

Either is a valid option. Attacking the party majority for carrying you isn't going to make you look any more of a victim, as you are reaping the true benefits in the expectations of Duty Finder.

Don't like doing what the majority wants to do? Party Finder is always an option.
