    Basically this.

The fact is that a end-game player can run both their Extreme Roll and lvl 60 Roll in the time it takes to watch all those cutscenes. Even if we're assuming the "new player bonus" is allotted because of letting new players watch CS's (which it's not, because bonuses are handed out for every dungeon regardless of if there are cutscenes or a MSQ dungeon) no amount of bonus is worth it when I can make up that bonus faster doing other content.

Not to mention the fact that no one is twisting any arms saying "skip dem cutscenes." Most of the time, when I get new players in MSQ, the group usually just tells them to watch the CS's because they are not required for the rest of us to progress. The content is so out of date that it can be cleared without the full team or even proper jobs. So, as long as the group isn't progressing so fast that the cutscenes overlap, it's not a problem. Watch as many as you want and enjoy the easy carry, and fill in any blanks in an Inn after the fact.

It's fine to ask older players to be considerate, but if you're gonna ask that of them then you have to do the same for yourself. It's not the fault of an end-gamer that new players are late to the game and missed the content when it was current. Further, chances are those same new players will be in the same boat as the old players by the time they get caught up to current content. Once someone asks you to hit pause on your grind and watch cutscenes that are old you'll feel that same inconvenience as the rest of us. Come back to this thread when you get to that level and tell me honestly that you don't hear the sound of the other shoe. I can tell you right now that you probably will, because we've all been on both sides of this fence.
