This again? lol. If you do a search you'll find a bunch of topics about this from the past couple of years.

Basically, you're selfish for making 7 other people wait for you and they're selfish for not waiting for you. It's a lose/ lose.

SE learned from this and main storyline/ heavy cutscene dungeons are now light party and not in a roulette.

It's unfortunate, but I do understand why people won't wait for the cutscene watchers. What I DON'T understand is when the new people say "sure, I'll skip the cutscenes and watch them later" and the party STILL treats them like crap and leaves them behind. When I see those occur, I usually try to force the party to slow down (as it would really only be by a minute or so more total), but that really depends on the other tank whether that happens or not.

But I will say this to the OP.
    1. Incase you don't know, you can re-watch the cutscenes in the inn at your own convenience.
    2. Castrum and Prae cutscenes occur mid dungeon. These cutscenes are about 10 minutes long if you are going through them at a normal speed. Castrum isn't quite as bad, but Prae has a LOT. Honestly, I've had someone before who was literally in the cutscenes the ENTIRE dungeon. We pushed through the entire dungeon faster than they could watch the cutscenes and I don't even want to know how long after we finished they were still watching. As other's have said, these dungeons can be done in 20 minutes easily. But those cutscenes will hold up the entire dungeon to become 50 minutes easily if not more.

It truly is a cruddy experience the first time. I fully understand as it happened to me and my FC mates in the past. But once you learn it and you take the 1 time to wait for someone... you realize why no one does anymore. Castrum's ok. Prae, most definitely not. I'd be glad to help you out if I was on your world, but unfortunately, I am not. I could do those 2 dungeons in my sleep now I'm pretty sure.

But I will usually tell anyone who's new to those dungeons that if they wish to learn the dungeon, then they should skip the cutscenes. If they wish to watch them, then go ahead, but they will get very lost and we'll likely complete the dungeon before they finish watching the full cutscenes (not because we're that quick, but because the cutscenes are that long). But if the player says they're willing to skip to learn the dungeon, then I will try to force the party to slow down a bit to compensate (or i'll just OT and type while I fight).

No. The bonus is there to get people to run the dungeons at all. Otherwise you'd could sit in queue for a few hours.

He was talking about the bonus for first time completion, rather than the daily completion bonus. The two are almost fighting each other. He fails to realize that nobody counts on the first time clear bonus and it's just, well, a nice bonus when it occurs. The people running the dungeons are doing it only for the daily reward bonus. I don't think anyone, even with the best of intentions, will sit and wait for others to watch the cut scenes every time they complete either of these dungeons if they do them more often than twice a month.

Doesnt dungeon boot you 10 min after its completed even if you are in the middle of cutscene, ie it goes strait to cutscene after exiting it?

Unfortunately SEs solution to being locked out only works at the very start. As people were running off leaving the person behind in the early days.

Well, I can understand that it might be frustrating, but you have to see both side of the story for this.
Let me give you an exemple :
    - DPS A wants to do a quick roulette because he has to go to work soon after/take care of the kids/whatever.
    - After 10-15 min of queue, his roulette pops and he can start.
    - But there's a new player so everyone wait to watch the 30+ minutes cutscene (for praetorium, but sometimes people are slow readers).
    - DPS A won't get his reward because he will have to leave the dungeon before the end because it will take longer than expected.
Now, when you realize that the majority of player that goes in roulette are like this, you understand why there's a rush.
Add to that the fact that for some of those players, it's maybe the 200+ times they did it, and you can understand why some of them have no patience.
So, do like 95% of the players did, go through it then watch it from the cozyness of your house/inn, it'll be the less frustrating for everyone.

OP. Save the URL for your thread, so you don't lose it. Now play the game for the next couple of years, running CM every few days. If you really want to replicate the experience, you should to run it repeatedly for a couple of weeks first, as if it was one of very few decent sources of a tome-like currency. Then come back and read your post again. It'll be really interesting to see if it has changed your viewpoint.

That is ancient content now it was one of the primary farming dungeons for a long time too so many people have done it hundreds of times. The only reason most people do it now is to rush somebody through it for the story quest just stop whining and get on with the story you have a lot to go. If you want to see the CS's that badly you can watch what you missed at an inn room. You really didn't miss anything hugely important.

Lol I find it funny when someone chooses an obscure scenario that's really rare and IMO at the end of the day that DPS should've know the risks of queing for dungeon with only 30 minutes to do it.
